    hypocritical management

Alright so let me preface this with my history. Ive lived half a mile from this target my whole life. i loved the store, when i got a job thee i was actually excited and I wouldnt mind working there if it wasn’t for the hypocritical STL and this one annoying ass hardlines TL. this guy, i went to highschool with him he was a slacker and an asshole, not many people liked him. he was so obviously gay (which isn’t the problem he just needs to stop being an asshole about it). so anyway i hate this guy and nobody on the electronics team does. HE’s the LOD’s little freaking pet and does nothing during his shifts but follow our store manager or the lod around and complain if he actually has to do work. THE AMOUNT OF WORK HE DOES NOT DO IS FREAKING RIDICULOUS.

    “Pop quiz”

I lost my good job as a repair tech for a vacuum systems company back in March. I applied at Macy’s (they wanted to hire me @$7.25 hr), and of course, Target. They asked what position I was “really” interested in, and I said I’d like to be a salesperson. Ha!!!! Of course I had to run a register for my first day, and then day after day it was strays and pulls and zoning and back-up cashier. I spent only 4 weeks working there, and never got trained to do anything. I learned 4X4’s, and that was it. The management was okay, but one day, the asst. store manager ( I still don’t get the weird titles Target has ) asks me “Pop quiz, hotshot!”, and  looked at her like she was r******d and said “What?” She said I had clocked in 2 minutes early from lunch the week before. Big deal. It was the time clock being screwy for a lot of TM’s that day. Needless to say, my higher paying job called me and wants me back. So goodbye Targét! One day notice!

    EFFIN TARSHIT

    Hello Everyone

So I’ve worked at Target for about A year and 8 months or so. Well what can I say I started as a Sales floor TM and electronics TM. Well throughout my whole year I was never schudeled for an electronics shift until after my first year the two times I was scheduled was on low and behold Black Friday and the day the PS4 came out. Throughout that year I made friends with a lot of the team member all cool people. I also started to notice this guy that worked electronics was a total douche bag who thought he was above everyone else cuz his brother was dating the HR ETL’s sister. He said he would get fired cuz he has immunity. That dumbass never did anything he would always be far away from the boat never answer the phone always would flirt with any girl that was there and would leave an effin mess at the boat ALL THE TIME!!! The Senior Team Lead was a bit of a jerk as well always had someone else do his job that he couldn’t finish which was up to douchbag guy to do it. Which he was basically his bitch. Haha

    Roswell Target

    Hi, I’m a cashier at Target! D’:

Ok, so we got new card swipes a few weeks a go, and already none of them worked for half the day. We also have to do something new called Power Hour. It may take place at around 1 PM or 5 PM, when all cashiers and anyone else who can cashier jumps on a check lane so that when the store gets crowded, there wouldn’t be any long lines. It’s very helpful when employees with PDAs cashier because the customers don’t have to wait for fifteen minutes just for us to find out the price of an item our cash register doesn’t recognize. Just a few buttons pushed, and a beep from the PDAs scanner, and we have the price. Now why can’t cashiers have these? I have to walk all the way to Guest Services, or try catching the busy GSA (or whoever) and it almost always takes too long just to find the price. I could ask the customer to go look at the price tag, but I know they wouldn’t want to go all the way to the back of the store while holding up the line. Even if I did suspended their transaction, they would have to wait awhile to pay for their things because many people buy up to two carts of groceries. Either way, it’s a pain for both me and my customer.

  • I copy and pasted this from the web:

Police are investigating how a loaded gun wound up among children’s toys at a Target store in South Carolina.

According to a police report, an employee at the Myrtle Beach store reported May 30 that he was investigating a possible theft when he noticed a black handgun on top of a superhero toy box.

  • You don’t have to wear kaky pants! Target believes you won’t ever read the team member hand book, and face it, who even still has there’s after about a week? One day after being screamed at for having stickers on my name tag, I took a look at the handbook. Although I found out that you can’t have stickers, but you also don’t have to wear kaky pants to work. On page 15( I think) the hand book says you can wear any solid color pants. They say preferably kaky, not kaky required. On the front of the handbook it says “no store exempt” so if you feel like taking revenge at work, just walk in in blue pants, point out the rule, and you can’t get in trouble. Have fun guys!

  • So I’ve been working here as a cashier for almost a year in southern California. The pay is alright considering I’m just part time, however working conditions just began to get bad recently.

Before, our break schedule followed the 2-4-6 rule, which was easy to work with and the TLS generally followed it. Now it’s a computerized schedule rather than the TLS manually writing in the break schedules for the day. For an 8 hour shift, you get your first break just one hour after you start, lunch usually on just your third hour, and the last break on your fifth hour. On top of them not running the ac in the front, it gets hot and tiring really fast. A few including myself have gotten woozy due to working almost 4 full hours without a break. One actually passed out. Everyone hates it.

  • Its been months since I left that bulls eye hell and while it sucks not having an income, I am soooo glad I finally took the leap after three and a half years and left that place. For years I had been miserable, hating life and every decision I had made that lead me to that hell but I was too scared to leave and not have a job lined up. I had applied to jobs but nothing ever came up, as the years went by I steeped lower and lower into my miserable life and convinced myself that I would never get out of that place. With the arrival of the VIBE, the fact that I was doing work I wasn’t getting paid to do, and the changes in scheduling I decided I had had enough and decided that I’d save up enough money to live on for months and finally leave. I made sure I’d leave before the dreaded BF and Christmas season..and I gotta say, last year I actually got to enjoy the holidays. Even though I am still struggling to find a job and sometimes I get overwhelmed with worry, when I read the horror stories on here and I think of my own horror stories I KNOW I DO NOT regret quitting without a job lined up..I do not think I could’ve held on any longer.

I hope all the people who are miserable working for this company also find the courage to leave and never look back.

  • Okay so I was working for maybe three weeks at Target in CT.  Anyway I try to be friendly to this girl and in this awkward situation where I’m coming out of the bathroom near the pharmacy and she’s going in I mumble have fun.  Anyway someone reports it (the girl didn’t care at all) and the evil ginger ETL tells me that for the next 7 years because I said that I had to tell every potential employer I had a history of sexual harassment.

Than a girl pretends I’m not there and finally I am forced to do reshop with her,  I ask her what her deal is.  She says I’m not interested.  Can we be friends.  I’m not interested in friendship.  I was like why?  She goes personal reasons.  Can you tell me?  No, stop you’re scaring me leave me alone or report it.  Than seven of my coworkers report it and try and be all friendly to my face.

  • I started working at Target in the Littleton area about three months ago and I am going to put in my two weeks notice tomorrow. I cannot stand these ungrateful assholes any longer. First, I always get shitty hours. Second, I cannot stand the lack of communication that there is within the damn store. For example, one manager will tell me to do something and the other will tell me not to.
