Less than 2 months and plenty of issues

I’ve been working at Target for about a month and a half now. The day of my interview I got into a minor car accident which really should’ve been seen as a sign for how my job there would go. As a sidenote/preface of sorts, this is only my second job ever and my first in retail.

    Finally fucking fed up

Lets start from the beginning, shall we?

    Background

So I started working at Target 1516 of July of 2018 in Softlines. At first it was great; I made a decent amount of friends, the management was laid back and I was getting above minimum wage. I left for LOA in September for school and returned for Black Friday.  Even though I’m softlines, they put me on register all day because they “double scheduled” me. It was my third time working register and the experience was awful. That should’ve been the first warning sign.

1 Year at target review – Backroom to TPS.

    Hello!

For about a year now, i have been working at Target. Currently i am a TPS. I was originally hired as a Seasonal team member for Backroom. It was a great opportunity because at the time i really needed a job that worked around my college hours. (still do) I slaved away in the backroom for around 8 or 9 months.

Locked in Target store overnight, fired next day

So there’s something that doesn’t happen everyday. I just started working backroom about a month ago, and I was closing today, which meant I had to make bales (apparently no one except backroom is trained to throw cardboard into the baler so I had like 7 cages just overflowing with the stuff) and I needed to set the line. Today had not been a normal day.

    Supporting theft

Gosh I don’t know that I’ve ever seen such unprofessionalism from a company I’ve worked for. Recently during a shift it came to my attention a coworker was stealing. They wanted me to partake as well. I played it off and declined. As I am saving toward moving and losing my job would be a great draw back I decided the best course of action was to contact the lod.

    Why

Does the individual store benefit from people signing up for a red card?

I say that to say this, tonight the closing L.O.D got pissed off because we only got 1 red card. LOL.
Someone said, Hey one is better than zero and the LOD replied, no 1 is even worst, we are dead last in the district for red card conversation, one of the newer stores is doing better than us and we are close to the shopping mall and airport that should never happen.

So I ask, what do the individual stores get from corporate if anything from people signing up for the red card?
