(1) I’m trained in food ave..but was asked to switch over to soft lines a while back due to so many people quitting…awesome. But i was thrilled to get out of food ave, so I took the chance!
So they taught me how to be operator/fitting room…worst decision EVER.

Obviously people put up with it. They had to. But I decided I didn’t want to anymore. So a really bitchy ETL came over the walkie and was asking Electronics why we haven’t gotten any redcards. This is where shit went down.
Likes(97)Dislikes(21) So I’ve been with target for 2 months now, and this is what I’ve gotten so far. I work as cart attendant and rarely as cashier. I love being outside doing carts(if it wasn’t so hot out). But every time i get one side caught up and the other side is completely empty, our LOD asks me to cover a couple of breaks. So when i’m done with that and i go back out to do carts, 5 minutes into it, i get a call on the walkie saying “cart attendant, we have no carts on blue side”. and I can’t say anything back to them except “that’s clear”. It’s like they’re completely oblivious as to why they have none. That, and now they have me come in from 1-5pm almost everyday except Sunday(i close), so from 8am-1pm no one is getting carts. SO when i come in, we have none and i get a “talking to” that i need to start hustling to get the carts in.
My two supervisors, who are the worst people ever, can never be found on the front lanes like they have to be.

I work in the backroom. If I had like a Target hit list, whoever resets planograms would be number one. The ETL that gets on our case about backstocking would be second. When they reset planograms, and fill it with new stuff, guess where the old stuff goes…the backroom. Almost every time this happens, we get a flatbed with at least 10 repack boxes full of stuff. When the ETLs come upstairs on their walk (god, I hate the walk), they see that shit and lose their minds and from then on, they’re on our case about who’s working on backstock the rest of the day as if we let the backstock get out of hand. Motherfucker! stop giving us all this plano BS to add to our normal flow, and maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.

When I was hired, I mentioned that my hours were CRITICAL as I was trying to pay my way through life. HR told me not to worry, I was on a higher pay scale and my hours would never be a problem. That’s when they began to fuck me over.
3 weeks later I was finally called to orientation. To this day I think it’s fucking bullshit that you have to wait nearly a month after getting a job offer to start working at Target just so they can save some hours and time by having a bunch of people train all at once.
For the first 2 weeks I got fuck all when it came to my hours. I wasn’t paid until my 5th week of starting the whole application process. I was broke and literally starving most days because Target doesn’t recognize that people might apply to work for them because – I dunno, they need money?
