I got out of the military, started school and decided to take some time off to rethink my major. So, I get a job at Target thinking I could do what I usually do when I get a job and just do my job well enough to earn a lead position, work my way up. I started about 3 weeks ago in softlines, nothing but other females. They are all pretty cool to work with but the “leads”….goddamn, whatta bunch of cunts.
Yes, I did immediately notice that it is hectic and I was expected to know the job right away- fuck being properly trained. The 2nd day I got register “training.” That consisted of me getting on a register and ringing up customers..oh no, omg, excuse me, I mean GUESTS while someone helicoptered over my every move. I was left alone for 3 hours on that damn register until this bitch-ass lead chic that is the loss prevention lead comes to get me telling me,”This is NOT where you belong right now! You need to go to softlines where you are actually supposed to be working!” No shit ho, really!?

What did you put down as your availability? If they are working you outside of your availability, then you have a legitimate gripe. If you put down totally open availability in the hopes of catching on, then you have nothing to cry about. So what if the ETL-HR or whoever promised you certain hours?!?! They will go by what you put down on that application!! You think any of those management fuckers will keep their word in the end. HELL NO!
Remember, they can fire you for whatever reason in your first 90 days!! Doesn’t really matter about the availability. After that, remind them of the availability on the application.

SO, I’ve worked at this nightmare of a shit house for around 8-9 months and things went from okay to shitty. I was hired on just before all the holiday help was (too bad I didn’t apply a little later). I’m that one guy who has to do all the shit no one else wants to do while maintaining my own job as well. All the “Team Leads” here are corrupt and could give a shit less about you as an employee. When I’m scheduled cashier, I have to get carts because we only have two carts dudes and the other one sucks terribly. I tried training him, but he’s seriously just an idiot.

I am so pissed off that Target took away my health insurance. I’ve worked here seven years and always liked it well enough, until they pulled this bull crap. I will be leaving before Christmas. Anyways, to my point:
Target just increased its annual dividend payout to shareholders by $0.34/share, a 21% increase. With a 600 million share float, that amounts to better than $200 million/year in additional annual dividend payments.

Hello everyone I thought I would stop by and share my experience as a “team” member working at target in Calgary, Alberta. I worked for target from March to June of 2013 and was glad to get out of there. For anyone how has kept up on business news knows target has been an utter failure within in Canada. Constant empty shelves, pissed off customers, overpriced wares and a lack of understanding of the Canadian market.

Hands down, Target is the worst place you could ever try to work. I got a job at target as a temporary help on income during the summer. My main job cuts hours during the summer (I am a part time HR rep at a department store), and my husband just graduated college and was looking for a main job. A friend recommended target as a easy part-time job, so I thought it would be great for me.
I went into the interview and it went great. I expressed how I JUST WANTED 12-16 HOURS A WEEK and had a main job. NOTHING MORE. The person who hired me said it would be okay and I joined the morning flow team (hours 4am-9am). This worked perfect for me since I usually work nights. I figured “Hey… its only three times a week and only during the summer. No big deal!”

Been working at Target for almost a year now and I can’t stand this fucking place anymore. I have been switched to different work centers twice now without my approval, they just fucking did it. I am currently Hardlines and always the ONLY one assigned to push the pulls from the backroom. One person cannot handle this work load, even if I didn’t have to help our ONE backroom guy pull because the batches are always fucking huge, even if I didn’t have to help customers carry shit out to their car or get them something from the backroom, even if I didn’t have to answer stupid questions from customers on the phone, the carts STILL wouldn’t get pushed. Every fucking night I leave there are at least four carts of merchandise still sitting in the back. Whenever I ask for help, I get nothing. But who’s fault is it? Mine, of FUCKING course.

Seriously. What’s up with people censoring themselves lately? This is an anti-target site on the internet. Cuss your fucking heads off. I know a lot of the abused employees of target are small children and everything, butt fuck, enough with the fucking “cr*p” and “sh*t” or “F” this or “F” that. Fuck! Fuck, fuck fuck, fuckity fuckin’ fuck. Oh yeah, and, target sucks hairy, necrotic, shriveled donkey balls.

First off I’ve been with Target corporation for about 3 years. And trust me when I say this, “Target is the most backwards idiotic corporation I know.” I have been “lucky” enough to work as a hardlines/ Market team member which is basically code for the stores little work slave. In my store, and I believe most Targets the market accumulates for roughly 60% of the store’s sales. That being said market team members are hassled (by the LOD’s) for the most insignificant of things. WE HAVE A TON OF SH** TO DO! Why in the world would you except 2 team members, and that’s two if where lucky to complete the QMOS, ZONE, CAFS, GUEST SERVICE and what ever BS you want us to do in two hours segments. I have no problem with working hard. I love working hard that’s why hello! i’m in college working my but off.

I’ve worked at Target for about 3 months. I set my availability around the activities I was active in when I applied for Target. Now that school is out and all of those activities have ended, I can finally work more days in the week. But since Target is a cock, they decline every availability request I put in. I’m pretty sure I’ve worked there for more than 90 days. I also hate everyone who works there. All of them are friends and talk to each other and laugh and stare at me. I have been thinking about quitting ever since I started. So thats why I need some peoples advice, should I quit now? Or should I wait until I find another job?
