Seems the slashed severance package is due to shareholders grumbling about it. If ya can’t beat them, join them. Not sure if it’s a viable point if you’re still an employee though

(5) I worked at target Northgate (REGINA SASKATCHEWAN CANADA) for close to a year before I quit a few months ago and all I can say is FUCK THAT PLACE. where do i start. first of all the customers where rude as all fuck, constantly bitching about sold out merchandise acting as if it was my fault. secondly assshole managers. the worst is this wack fuck with all these piercings who shall remain nameless ASSHOLE has himself convinced he was the god-king of the target store always bitching at the shit payed employees for not working hard enough meanwhile he would sit in the starbucks for several hours at a time sitting back drinking coffee NOT DOING A FUCKING THING, then he goes on that fucking walkie talkie and tells everyone we need cashier backup. WHY CANT YOU DO IT YOU LAZY UGLY WACK STUPID LOOKING FUCK? or this other manager ( or Fuhrers is more proper) with his glasses and this constant smug look on his fucking face god i hate that prick,(him and the pierced bitch were best buddys) ask him a question and he will make sure you feel r******d or he will make rude comments and think hes so fucking funnyyou ugly four eyed fuck). then he comes in with his ugly daughter and wife and walks around giving all the employees dirty looks because were not working hard enough i guess. thirdly is the “TEAM HUDDLES” nothing is more stupid we sit in a circle and tell each other what a great job we all do, fucking stupid if ask me trying to make us feel some sort of solidarity with the prick manegment. However the worst is the security. If your a native american expect to be followed the entire time your in their shopping. those racist fucks made sure to always tell us to watch them and these people noticed all the time too making all the employees look like ignorant fucks. I could not begin to tell you all of the frustrations I have incurred over the course of that time. I worked in the pharmacy for the majority of my time and have been trying to get a job as an ETL with them for roughly 6 months. I have been the definition of a model employee and always go above and beyond for not only my fellow employees but the “guests”. Why I bothered to continue trying I will never know. I’ve battled for raises I deserved, job titles I’ve deserved, transfers which should have been easy have been completely messed up to the point where the HR thought it a good idea to just terminate and rehire me instead of doing their job right, and to get hired on as an ETL. So, they tried to tell me there were no job positions available, which is understandable minus the fact that I looked online and saw job postings for well over 8 months. Ouch. Then when I am finally ready to move on to bigger and brighter things and cut ties with them for good, they decide to tell me there is a position open up in the area I want to work. Terrific I think! Dead wrong. It took an entire month to just get through two interviews needing still one more to get hired on with the company. Two weeks pass by after the second interview and no word from any of the recruiters or interviewers I have been in touch with. So, I decide to email the initial person who contacted me regarding the position. Within 5 minutes of sending my email, they respond sorry there has been a change and there will be no more needs at this current time. Thanks a bunch for stringing me along for a month and sapping some more life from me.
Likes(32)Dislikes(2) So I was hired as a “Full-Time” Overnight Flow Team Member at the Super Target #2220 in Norman Oklahoma. I quickly realized that Target’s definition of “Full-Time” is 20 – 25 hours per week. WTF? Thanks a lot for telling me during the interview so I could have politely said “Fuck no I can’t live off of $8K per year!” Oh, but wait…I forgot Target loves to supplement your poverty wage with get benefits like a free cupcake or honeybun in the break-room. Due to the insanely low hours you will be scheduled you will likely never see any real benefits (401K, sick time. etc.) materialize working for Target, so Invest your break-room junk food wisely!

And God forbid I ask for someone to help a customer with patio furniture and a full shopping cart of groceries to his/her car. I mean I would GLADLY help them if it meant getting off a register for 5 damn minutes!
Likes(23)Dislikes(3) Hello. I’ve been at target for a 1 1/2 months and i hate it. first off, my supervisors are terrible. They rarely help and are never by the front lanes, which they should be. They’re either out hiding somewhere claiming they are in need some where else or hiding in the office.
As cashier, i had no training; just a book that had the basics. I was then put on by myself after that and it started out pretty good until the guests kept asking about gift registry, suspending the transaction, or if we carried an item. each time i would call out for the supervisor to help me and they would get mad about that and just take over, then tell me there’s a “help” button that calls them. But they never answer the call, even for change that i need.

My friend had started working there a few months before me and raved about how he loved it, and that I should apply ASAP! So…I did and after calling them twice they set me up with an interview. I aced the phone interview and the same day went in for an actual face to face interview. I was hired in the meat department, and never told wtf I did over there! Keep in mind I’m a short 142 pound girl.it wasn’t till my second day that the women who hired me told me I had to be able to lift 80bls and work in a freezer most of the time. After 1 month of breaking down 7-8 foot pallets every other night and coming home bruised to hell from having meat boxes fall on me, I asked out of the department.

A couple of weeks ago, I asked to leave an hour early as I had company from out of town who were leaving the next day. The previous day I had closed. I was told that if I get 3 red cards I could leave early. It pissed me off, but I proceeded to “HOUND” everyone of my guests for one. I ended up getting 2, and thought for sure they would let me leave early for the effort I put in. NOPE, I stayed that extra hour but made sure I told the gsl that next time I would just call out. Can’t wait for the minute they need me to stay late because they’re short handed. KISS MY ASS

I’m pretty sure I interviewed well because I was called in for orientation 5 days after my first interview. I was so excited because I had left my previous job to move to fla. with my husband so he could take a promotion. I had been down in the dumps because I missed my old job so much. I worked for a top fortune 500 company for four years and thought well hey I love shopping at target so why not get paid to do what love anyways right?
It look me about three weeks to realize that target is a fucking bullshit corporation.
