So bare with me here. I have only worked for Target (team 0613) for only a year now and it has been a literal HELL! At first it was alright, but then by my 4th or 5th month (everything is a blur now thanks to how they schedule me), my LOD and a few others started to badger and treat me unfairly.

I’ve been working for target for about 8 months now and everytime I walk through the door I want to turn around. If the guests weren’t enough, the management is no better. What do you guys hate about working guest service?

I couldn’t wait to quit target to post about it so watch out because it’s a long rant. I started working at the hell hole that is target at around beginning of July and my God was applying here is a giant mistake. I got called and interviewed and started as a cashier as most of us do and as target does best they hounded me and harassed me to get red cards, breathing over my neck, coaching me, role playing, amongst other bullshit and no your little incentive of Starbucks or little bag of goodies doesn’t make me more compelled to get red cards so fuck off.

This one is for you, Target T1946.
I should’ve known from the start that working at this Target would be horrible. Let me start off with saying that they don’t pay you nearly enough (yet they give away gift cards like their souls depend on it) to put up with the amount of stuff that they put you through.

This will be first of many posts. Let’s start off by saying I was hired in as a seasonal sales floor team member in November of 2014. I became known as the “closer” and got 35-40 hours a week and was pretty content with that. Then I was told that I would become a regular team member.

I have sat here and read almost five pages of these blogs. I seriously thought I was the only person who felt this way.
For ten years I worked at two different Target stores. Working at the first one was great. We had an excellent ETL Team, Team Leads and Store manager. There were always there to help. THe second one eh!

I got out of the military, started school and decided to take some time off to rethink my major. So, I get a job at Target thinking I could do what I usually do when I get a job and just do my job well enough to earn a lead position, work my way up. I started about 3 weeks ago in softlines, nothing but other females. They are all pretty cool to work with but the “leads”….goddamn, whatta bunch of cunts.

Good News: The only thing that’s good about the breach is that I haven’t had to ask customers about the REDcard for four weeks now!
Bad News: The LODs with the Breakout (the clipboard with our breaks listed on it) always fail to make sure each cashier has their break! They always tell me that I should never go on break until they tell me to, yet they forget to check the Breakout so often, that I have missed many of my breaks in the past few days, and the breaks I do have are two hours later than they should be. I know LODs can be busy, but how hard is it to glance at the clipboard and walk up to a cashier to say it is time for their break? Or if they cannot go to the cashier, they can ask another employee to tell the cashier for them.

I started working for target on the 5th of November. This is my very first job. I really did not need a job but I needed the experience. I am studying to become a Registered Nurse and later a CRNA. My first day was great because I had 2 wonderful ladies training me. However, the other 2 are just plain HORRIBLE. They are rude and look at me like I don’t know a thing. The 2 wonderful women that trained me were impressed as how fast I learned everything because of the fact that I never in my life cashiered. Anyway, those two are just plain rude and evil. They talk about employees that work under them like they’re worthless and scum.

Hello peeps, i came across this site as i was googling how people felt about working in target. I decided to post here cause im 1 year into this and im starting to dislike it. it starts like this. i was hired as a seasonal member during october of 2012 and i knew i could be terminated by january after the holidays. since i needed a job badly i started talking to a few ppl and was told to cross train to different areas to give the impression i was interested in staying.. so i did. I cross trained to planogram softlines, PTM, and some backroom, i knew hardlines, and cashiering and thoughout my seasonal time there i worked all those areas. surely in january i was offered a regular position and i was happy lol. in april they started reviews but i wasnt expecting much since i was still relatively new. one of the hardline TLs made my review (who i didnt really work with) and she started off by saying my review was tricky because i was still relatively new then she continued on to say i was a reliable member always coming in to work, picking up hrs, coming in when they needed me etc. then she burst my bubble by saying i got an IE rating (inefficiently something…)
