  • I started at Target 7 years ago and it wasn’t such a bad job then, I got 40 hours plus over time and was making 600-700 dollar checks. Now I’m working 18 hours and I’m pretty much running around the whole store (my store is two stories by the way) making sure CAFS, EXF, AND RESEARCH batches are being pulled while pulling items out for people on the floor and simultaneously trying to get MyFA’s done. They want you to finish everything within a certain time but they dont have enough equipment or keys for the crown to go around and not enough ladders either. I’m exhausted, I’m stressed out that all this hard work is going to a shitty check that barely covers my rent and bills…

  • As a loyal Targé customer, I thought a job here would be so fun. I loved that Target was so inclusive with its TMs and always moving forward with branding, etc. After applying a few times and going through a few other jobs, I finally got a call back from a store in my area (not my usual spot, but the next closest). I was so excited, I knew I would nail the interview and my foolish dreams would come true. I should have run with those first bad vibes I got but I was desperate to leave my old job. I had the usual phone interview and was promised the job from the softlines TL but had to wait for my in-person and was told I’d be called the next day. A week went by without a peep and I had to begin calling everyday, trying to find someone from HR to schedule my interview but there was literally no one around at any time. Finally had my in-person, nailed it and was so excited to start as a cashier. I was told to put in my two weeks at my other job so I happily did. Big mistake. I did not hear a thing from Target about my orientation for a MONTH. Yes, 4 whole weeks. I started to wonder if I had dreamt the interviews or had misheard the job offer. I began calling quite often and never had my calls returned or was told they were, “waiting to hear from payroll”, whatever that means.

  • We have a sort-of-new ETL, who has picked up the schedule-making for the front end, since the previous one has moved to back room. Whatever, we all figured she couldn’t be as bad as the last one. Oh god, were we wrong.

  • Well i worked at target as a cashier for seasonal 2014-2015

Okay so i wouldnt say it was the worst place to work at for the most part it was decent

Pros where that they fed u. Almost everyday they had snacks and ordered out a lot which is a plus i love food lol. The breaks are awesome because most places you have to work over 7 hours to get a lunch break they give u a lunch break for anything over 5 or 6 i believe and its good. My coworkers were pretty nice along with my boss she was sweet.

    Hating Management

So I started working here a little over a month ago. When I first started with training, I had known something seemed rather odd as I had been scheduled for night shift and on the weekend, though I figured it was just random scheduling and wouldn’t be too often. I was dearly wrong. I must start off first by saying I do really enjoy the people whom I work with and with most of my leaders and management. The only and main thing I have a problem with is that I feel there is the Guest Service’s Team Leader is trying to get me for some reason.

    It’s like High School.

I’ve spent a year working at target. Everything was fine at first, and everyone and everything seemed okay. Up until mid november or so.. We had 3 people in electronics quit at once, and there were only two people working that entire week total. Some days we didn’t have openers, and some days we didn’t have closers, and sometimes both. So, one day I’m coming into work, and there are 5 huge pulls that haven’t been worked, the entire electronics area is a disaster, and zone is an absolute mess.

    Sounds like fun right?

Just found this site after closing tonight and thought I’d rant a little. I work on softlines and I’ve been there a little over a year. I’m lucky enough that my Lods ect. leader type people are all really nice and so are my co-workers which is why I’ve stayed so long.

    Cart Attendant AKA Cart Bitch

So we begin my job at target approximately three months ago. I begin my job with little training which was okay because cart attending seemed like a rather laid back job. This was completely and udderly wrong. The first two weeks were a piece of cake and seemed almost in a way fun. This is immeadiatly when I began having issues. Mid day one day I was informed of a “mess” in the woman’s restroom.

  • My last two weeks at Target were terrible.  I was told I was the best cart attendant they ever had.  I have a panic disorder and a few other disabilities.  Anyway after a meeting with an LOD who I never did anything wrong to, but still had been trying to destroy my life and had been warned for it crossed the line.
