So not all of the LODs and TLs are bad at my store. But the bad seeds overshadow the good anyday. This new idiot front lanes LOD has made a BS rule that we are no longer allowed to enjoy our break or lunch in the Food Ave sitting area. Why? According to her, it looks bad for the team members to be taking up all the seats (though there are MAYBE 4-5 team members sitting there at any given time, leaving plenty of open seats) and if a guest asks us a question while on our 30 we would technically be working off tge clock by answering them. I have never in the two years I’ve been there been asked a question while eating on my break Guests don’t walk in and think “Let me walk to the cafe to ask where toilet paper is!!” No, they go to Guest Services. Dumb pregnant LOD just wants to feel high and mighty. Can’t wait until she pops out her baby and is on leave for 2+ months.

(4) So a week ago i was playing basketball at my local gym. I injured myself on this one play and my heel hurt. I went to the doctor and found out i had inflamed the bottom of my achilles tendon. I got a note from my doctor for work, and i thought i was exempt, and had all the time i needed to recover. I went in to target and gave my note to my hr team lead. I had already spoken to my supervising tl, and i thought all was well.
a week later i felt well enough to come back to work and i had recovered. I walk into target and go up to the hr team member and say that i can come back and work now. She says to talk to our Stl who does nothing but stay in her office all day and paint her nails or some shit like that. She says that i had 3 no-call no-shows over that period which i was injured and had a note for it. She then goes on to tell me that i am terminated.

..yes I said early…worked there for 6 yrs…volunteered many times…had great
attendance….never got a verbal or written warning just a pink slip….got and took
my 6 mos unemployment…speed up to today ….I filled out an application to be
rehired at a different target….had 2nd interview today….never once did he ask about
my previous working at target…and when I told him I wasn’t even sure if I was eligible
for rehire…he was silent and changed the subject…never once asked a thing bout my 6 yrs there..
..but at the end of interview said we will have a decision by weeks end….I don’t know what to think.

Likes(4)Dislikes(3) I am a cashier at the moment, and they say after my 90 day evaluation it’s possible that I can be cross trained. I really want to be cross trained! So far I have gotten 5 red cards and my conversion is a 2.7, they say I need a 3!
How can I guarantee to be cross trained?
Also, what position should I take? Hardlines? Softlines??
Any tips on how to actually enjoy work and sell more red cards?

I would like to start off by apologizing. Apologizing for taking what I did. A stupid, trivial amount that will ultimately cost me in the end, I messed up real bad, and I am truly sorry.Some second chance company. Let me tell you a little about myself. When i was 13 my father decided to have his house renovated, three months in the contractor left town with half the money that my father had put up front initially. The place I once called home was now barely habitable, exposed frames and woodworks, an unfinished bathroom and kitchen, tore apart floor and an overall stench to the place. Thus died my home. I have never had a home since. I broke my leg in high school and lost two scholarships. I had no hope of ever making out of the hole where my parents hated each other and financial trouble led us all to depression, I broke my leg the day after i got my first real girlfriend, she was cheating by the third day after. After losing everything i attempted suicide by popping 10,000 MG of the pain killer Vicodin, I slept for 38 hours and no one noticed.The only time she was not was when she was pregnant with my world .

I am a college student, been with girlfriend for years, am a mid stage entrepreneur making around 3k a month as it is. I applied to Target in late August to build Job History in retail for a job offered to me when I graduate. On my resume: 3 Months with Intel, 4 Months with Geek Squad, and months with various jobs such as construction, warehousing, etc. They put me on Sales Floor, even when I had requested Electronics due to an opening back there.

This is a perfect example about how Target doesn’t give a shit about their Team Members and all they care about is their stupid fucking company and they disregard us as human beings. That means there will be crowds of guests shopping in our store and that means I’ll be asking about the REDcard more than I ever have before until my tongue dries up and crumbles out of my mouth! The customers will become snappier than they usually are because they are too busy trying to snatch what they want before the shelves are stripped bare and people will be extremely impatient jostling through packed isles and waiting in extremely long lines for who knows how long. I can’t wait to see how rudely I’ll be treated for asking about a card WHEN IT IS MY JOB TO DO SO. I’ll be complained about even more when I don’t give them a discount because their coupons are expired or because they need three items for a five dollar gift card instead of two. I can already think of the joyful mood everyone will be in if the cash register’s monitor freezes and randomly reboots because Target never bothers to fix its equipment as much as I complain and as much money they get from customers to afford to fix things. Think of all the transactions that will take forever to complete because the touch pads don’t work. I’d better memorize which cash registers work the best so I’ll have first dibs on them, because this is gonna get ugly. I’ve never worked before, but I bet this’ll happen.

I started working at Target a month ago….I HATE WORKING THERE. I was suppose to work hard lines, but instead, they decided to just make me a a cashier..at first, I thought they were only going to train me then move me on to another task, nope. Stuck at cashiering. They make me do everything there! From carts, to restroom clean up(literally on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor) and of course…zoning. Fun. They push those red cards like crazy and the stupid conversions…no one wants a freaking red card..they make us harass our “guests” so stupid. If you need help at a register, the stupid leaders don’t even respond to you until it’s practically too late. Horrible job, 2 horrible leaders(other 2 are cool), horrible environment. The other cashiers are pretty nice, they hate their job too. I have my 90 day evaluation two days before Christmas..bleh. Not sure how I’m going to do. So far, I have gotten 4 red cards, and have only been there a month…So we’ll see how things go. My conversions aren’t the best right now, so that’s unfortunate.

But a certain store in the mid west that I work at actually blocks this website on there wifi if you try and visit it.
Target is so desperate to control and censor information about it self that most major news articles i’ve found for the last couple years get totally shut out by BullshitEye HQ.
Not only that but they’ve been strategically shutting down stores to stop unions, inspections and hiding standard team member protocols from the public.
