An example about how TARGET doesn’t give a shit about TM’s (by: ex T1846 tm)
I just found out that a dear friend of mine committed suicide last Thursday. He was employed by Target for 11 years, he worked at a Target in Oklahoma. This is a perfect example about how Target doesn’t give a shit about their Team Members and all they care about is their stupid fucking company and they disregard us as human beings. My friends name is: Lee Powell and this is his last post on Facebook:
So today, I got pulled into the office & reamed because I called in on a big night with the flu. I almost never miss work and have a higher than 90% attendance rating. To top it off, I was basically told I was an alcoholic and a liar to my face. I do drink from time to time, but I have been doing very well fighting my demons. I come to work early for my shifts, stay late, work on my nights off. I have changed my plans many times to accommodate Target. I have never felt more unappreciated in my 11 years with Target.
I thought Target would be my career, but after yesterday it was made clear that I am not valued for what I bring to the table & are not part of their plans going forward. I have formed some great friendships over that past 11 years & I will miss you guys! Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to work. 🙁
These were his last words to his family and friends, sad story.
Word of advice to anyone employed by this shitty ass company: DON’T OVERWORK YOURSELF, YOU ARE NOT AND WILL NOT BE APPRECIATED!!!

Thank you TargetSucks my friends drove from T2335 in McKinney Texas to Tulsa to pay their last respects to one of the most hard working Team Leads, Lee was awesome and had a great personality. I'm still in shock and disbelief. May he rest in eternal peace.
his family should sue for driving him to suicide
I'm also wondering if maybe this should be submitted to local news outlets - add some fuel to the fire when it comes to holding these companies responsible for the treatment of their employees.
I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so myself as I did not know him personally, so I'll leave that decision to cloudster or those who knew him best.
My condolences for your loss.
I did email the CEO of target but I doubt that he'll even reply to my email and yes thank you, you just gave me an idea about notifying the local news 🙂
