I twisted my knee while working service desk today ( too much crap in the back…). It hurts to stand on it, so I asked my gstl if I could get a stool back there to sit on. He said there’s a rule about sitting back there. So I tried to stick it out, but pain kept getting worse so I finally talked to my LOD and explained what happened and asked if I could sit to make it through my shift. She said no and told me to go home. Why can’t I just get a stool, rather than put the stress on everyone else?!

How does everyone feel about the new procedures for Operator? It is asking a lot of an operator to answer phones, find the guest the correct size, hang clothes, help the guest around phone area.

Not a rant, just genuine confusion… would anyone have any insight as to why they schedule cart attendants to work until close (11:oo PM)??? I legitimately do nothing productive during that time and just walk around the store, I feel like me being there is very unnecessary and odd, anyone else been in a situation like this, scheduled for no reason at all?

I imagine most of the people on this site are just current or former employees airing their grievances about whatever bullshit Target did to them, but I will say I didn’t start this job hating Target. It was my first real job and it helped me gain some confidence in the workplace where I originally didn’t have any (part of the reason it took so long for me to get a job, I’m too anxious for my own good).

November 2016; it’s Thanksgiving Day and I am telling my family bye because I am off to my first day at Target. I have a grand total of 3 hours of training under my belt and it’s the busiest day of the year. Needless to say I nearly shat myself. Alas, I have made it to the other side of the Holiday season. Not long after, I get pulled to clerical so they can ask me if I would like to be a “Brand Team Member” for their shoe department.

So! I’ve only been working for Target for about 7 almost 8 months now, not that long I know. I got hired on as seasonal in October and they deiced to keep me which I was in shock but so so happy for! I got hired on as a cashier which I was terrified for because you deal with the guests hand on hand and are expected them to leave with a good impression.

At my Target store they dont have the swap shift board posted up, you have to ask someone for it and to swap a shift you have to have the person youre swapping with with you and you both have to sign off on it in the presence of an LOD thrn they sign off on it.

I was working in Pfresh today when the STL, who was doing a walkthrough, came by. She made a comment about avocados being on sale next week. I wasn’t surprised; most stores put things like avocados on sale during the first week of May. I was in the middle of a count (for QMOS), so I didn’t respond.

Howdy! If you are considering becoming a TPS or wonder what we go through on an almost daily basis, please read this line by line.
I have been a Target Protection Specialist also known as TPS for (insert a number of years over 1 but less than 6 here). (may reveal identity) Before i begin my “rant”, if you want to call it that i need to make several things CRYSTAL clear first.
