Cart Attendants Closing?

Not a rant, just genuine confusion… would anyone have any insight as to why they schedule cart attendants to work until close (11:oo PM)??? I legitimately do nothing productive during that time and just walk around the store, I feel like me being there is very unnecessary and odd, anyone else been in a situation like this, scheduled for no reason at all?

I thought this was common sense but I'm pretty sure it's because all the carts need to be in by the time the stores closed. If it's slower in the afternoons just consider it a blessing. If you don't think you're being productive ask the GSA/GSTL what you can help with. But I have to tell you that I'm surprised you're actually complaining about being "underworked" when most are complaining about the exact opposite.

That's retail for you, if you feel like you don't have any work to do, do what Redcardsuck said, or just give yourself something to do? There's no way you couldn't have anything to do, you could always clean/organize your Guest attendant closet, make sure you've checked all the bathrooms if they need cleaning(I don't know if my target is the only one that does that though), double check spill stations, and so on. Sure it might be boring, but that's how it always is?

First you need to get the carts in for the next morning. Next deal with put aways and all perishables and price checks. Enjoy your slow day. It won't be slow always. BTW do you want to deal with that customer who owns a restaurant and thinks you are his free help. The guy no one wants to deal with and runs away all the time. If you want something to do, can you deal with him for us?
