So a few of my co-workers needed to change their availability for school and now they are declining availability changes???
Also, they are declining time off also?
Why the hell are they doing this?

(4) I dont just mean this because of the pests running around(etls, cockroaches, flies..). I have unfortunately worked for Target for 6 years and have watched the morale decline over the past 4. Literally all 160+ TMs are miserable at my store. My own STL has said to my face Target is ony going to get worse. My old district manger recently ran into a coworker of mine and said Target will only get worse and that we havent seen anything yet. Its why she left on top of them telling her to fire all these hardeworking people she has come to love. My point is based off of insider information and higher ups admitting we are shit, everyone who work for Target: GET OUT NOW. SAVE YOURSELF. MOST IMPORTANTLY..if you are not miserable at this company already do you really want to stay and become miserable? because this is Target and its inevitable.

OK the Title is more what I wish my first post was titled but this one is in the same line so, I’m going to run with it.
Ok So throughout 2013 I was the target of abuse base on my sexuality. I reported it several time but nothing was ever done about it. So on July 8, I was really depressed and tormented by the last year and I wrote a letter to my former HR pleading for answers. Maybe a mistake, maybe not, but it did feel good to right the stuff down. I found out later she had quit, and therefore couldn’t get the letter I wrote.
However Target forwarded it to “headquarters.” and I got Two emails “responding to the letter.” at different email addresses.

IF YOU TRY TO REASON OUT ABOUT YOUR WORK LOAD AND HOURS THEY WILL TAG YOU AS A TROUBLE MAKER AND CALLING INTEGRITY HOTLINE DOESN’T HELP EITHER. THEY WILL FORWARD THE CONCERNS TO HR AND PARTNER WITH THE STL AND JUST SEND BACK A RESOLUTIONS AND VOILA THEY OFF THE HOOK.
I’VE BEEN ASKING FOR TRANSFER FOR A LONG TIME AND ALWAYS BEEN DENIED!!!!!! WHERE CAN YOU FIND A TL THAT WORKS 16 to 20 HRS A WEEK lol AND THEY EXPECT SO MUCH FROM YOU.
I GUESS HANGING OUT AT STARBUCKS CAFE AND SHARING BS WITH ALL THE ETL’S REALLY HELPS OUT A LOT TO KEEP YOU OUT OF TROUBLE.

Each time I am told “We don’t have the hours right now, but when we do we will definitely train you elsewhere”. There wasn’t really anything more I could say besides “I understood”.. So the months went on by and each morning huddle I went to the STL, ETLs & LODs would tell us that a way to pick up more hours was to change our availability and ask to be cross trained in other areas.. I was pissed, I had been asking numerous times to cross trained and each time I was shut down..
Likes(14)Dislikes(1) So I have now worked at two targets (transferred from the last store I was at because I finished university and the job market where I live is generally shitty, and seeing as a new target was just opening up, it seemed to be a good idea/fresh start). Anyways, I fucking hate target. My last store before I was transferred gave me 4 hour Shifts a week and played favourites with some pretty incompetent employees. The new store I’m at has been okay with hours, for now (though they keep fucking with my schedule, more on that later) and like my last store The TLs, ETLS and even STLs have no idea what the fuck they are doing, one ETL at my new store even compared not wearing a name tag on the sales floor to “going into Afghanistan without a gun” I wish I was fucking joking.(he said this at morning huddle)
Likes(15)Dislikes(1) I was a bench TL at my store “waiting for another TL to quit or get fired” to fill in. I interviewed around september 2013 and around January of 2014 my HR ETL and my Hardlines ETL pulled me in the office. They said due to the data breach, I won’t be able to get promoted for a while. All stores in the district need to cut leaders. By september of next year my store needs to cut 3 TLs and one ETL. Once they leave if other stores aren’t at where they need to be, they would just get transferred in. Pretty much there is no hope for me to move up. So I took initiative and applied at another place as part-time.
At my interview at my other job, I impressed my boss very well that they offered me a full-time supervisor position, so I took it because it was more money. At Target I went on LOA, to see if i liked the new job.

There are days I simply do not want to go because well, who the hell wants to go work with annoying ass costumers? Im only working here till I’m done with community college and thats less than a year away. Anyways I want to know how many times can you call out before you get fired?… I hear you have to have many coachings till you get fired. So can someone help me with this?
Likes(14)Dislikes(13) This evening I went to Target quite begrudgingly because it was the only “store” on my way home from visiting a family member. First of all, it was 7pm on a fucking Wednesday and the store looks like it’s closed. The inside of the store is dark as hell and quite creepy looking. Knowing the stores hours, I go to the doors anyway expecting at least a sign saying “Yes, We’re Open!” or “We Couldn’t Pay The Electric Bill Huehuehue”. Instead, nothing. A lady in front of me pushed the automatic doors open and we go inside only to have to track down an employee to find out what the hell is going on.

How does that make any sense? Every time we got a new TL all I heard was “I started right were you are and now I’m a ETL” bull cr@p there is no room for advancement in that company!!
