Just curious… Are all cashier jobs exhausting? Or just Tarshit’s? It doesn’t matter if it’s a long or short shift. A four hour shift feels like I just worked an eight hour shift. I come home, feet sore, throat scratchy, and utterly tired.
Granted, I only work weekends due to school etc, but I work hard on those three to four shifts in a row. I like to earn my money. I am also often targeted by a GSA who constantly makes me zone the one spot (most confusing and frustrating place I have ever encountered), the trading card wall, and go fetch items to restock the front shelves. She also loves to constantly remind me of my low red card conversion scores and threatens coaching. I find myself especially tired after having to spend a full eight hours with her.

Management is a gaggle of inept-o-raters without exception, hard-working employees are underpaid, unappreciated, and mistreated, and we are all dead inside. Basically, the same complaints you hear from every other employee of this company, ever. Nothing will ever get better without unions.
Years wasted.

Soo I’ve been working at target for 3 years now. Don’t get me wrong it was a great first job for me and everything. I use to work full time all the time pulling over time hours working open to close, especially on Sundays. With that being said im fully trained at our food court and the service desk. I’ve also have filled in as GSA a lot before wether it be someone needed a day off to call outs.

I’ve been working at Target for about 3 months now. I was very excited to start working here, this is my 3rd job so far. I’m an High School student and was able to accept any hours they wanted to give me. I stayed late one time, and even volunteered to pick up other peoples shifts! But anyway, I’m a cashier. I’m such a peoples person, I greet all of my guest with a bright and early smile, every single day!

Let me list everything that is wrong with Target and the way they run things as a retail store.
I mean if you live in Canada you have heard of the life in Canada is great, the businesses are better, the staff are friendlier, and the bosses are better and everything else in between and all this other crap that has been said. I am here to tell you this all lies, fictional information, biased leaders, racist leaders, and everything else in between.
I’ve worked at Target for over a year and I’ve never in my life have experienced such a horrible job.

I have been at Target for 2 1/2 years back in electronics. Something I don’t understand is – why can’t we use our employee discounts with debit/credit cards that aren’t redcards? I find it completely ridiculous! Not everyone wants a fucking REDCARD!! It drive sales blah blah blah makes Target look good blah blah blah. You know what would make Target look good? Fire.

I was working in my usual work center – electronics – when my coworker asks me to help him print a rain check for a guest – it’s for a phone. As I am typing in the code and the DPCI I overhear him talking to the guest about how she works at a different Target and how she was cashier and blah blah blah. So the rain check said “quantities are limited, no rain check available” or whatever the damn things says. I tell the guest this and she says “well they told us we could get a rain check”. No idea who “they” is, but you are dumb. I can’t override my register! Anyway, my coworker suggests going to the front and seeing if their registers would print it off. They cheerfully go on their way.

So the commercials blasting in electronics all the time claim that Target and some band want to end hunger or some bs publicity stunt. I have got a suggestion, how about you fucking pay your employees a little better? You know the people who work their asses off day after day? Such fake ass liars these uppity fucks are, oh and I find it funny how they preach diversity all the time on the tvs yet you are only included in what they consider diverse if you are white or mexican. I just don’t understand how all these moron shoppers stick to targets shit like flies and it don’t stink.

I was working at target for the summer and I should’ve listen to what others said in this site. I came on here thinking target can’t be that bad and behold it was horrible. The training was really bad by the third day I was by myself…CLOSING. The LODs kept giving me bullshit for not being “fast” enough. Zoning was the fucking worst all by myself while every other department has at least 2-3 people closing.

I mean not all of them are mean, a lot are actually very friendly. Im a 17 year old girl and this is my first job ever. The other girls that work with me are pretty nice..but some of the guys are rude and act like they are way smarter than I am. I just started but I am done with my training’s, and one of the guys who doesn’t even train people came over and watched me check a guest out, it was disturbing and overwhelming. Then I had trouble getting a security lock off and i asked him to help, and he opened it right in front of a guest and made fun of me and i just wanted to hide after that.
