Skeleton Crew EVERY FUCKING DAY
Been working at Target for almost a year now and I can’t stand this fucking place anymore. I have been switched to different work centers twice now without my approval, they just fucking did it. I am currently Hardlines and always the ONLY one assigned to push the pulls from the backroom. One person cannot handle this work load, even if I didn’t have to help our ONE backroom guy pull because the batches are always fucking huge, even if I didn’t have to help customers carry shit out to their car or get them something from the backroom, even if I didn’t have to answer stupid questions from customers on the phone, the carts STILL wouldn’t get pushed. Every fucking night I leave there are at least four carts of merchandise still sitting in the back. Whenever I ask for help, I get nothing. But who’s fault is it? Mine, of FUCKING course. Their solution you ask? They say work faster, pick up the pace. You know how fucking INSULTING that is to me? I bust my ass every day at this shit hole until I’m sweating and this is the fucking thanks and appreciation I get. I’m never congratulated for my hard work, just told what I’m doing wrong. I never asked to be Hardlines and I’m still busting my ass for these fuckers and my $8 and something cents an hour.
Hardlines isn’t the only work center understaffed however, oh no. Literally every five to ten minutes I get that screeching, bitchy automated voice over the walkie asking for “additional cashiers to the front lanes”. Don’t these idiot leaders understand by now we are short up front? Don’t they get sick of hearing that fucking voice? I never signed up to cashier and neither did the other people called up to cover management’s fuckup. The backroom at my store is also always a fucking mess despite the hard workers on that team. When you have carts of backstock down every single fucking isle, don’t you thing it would be a good idea to give out some more hours or hire some new people? Good luck having someone get to the phones on time either. Then it’s our fault when the few sales floor people we have are on break, in another part of the store, or busy with a customer. Management might actually have to answer the call themselves.
This store rakes in millions each year. This isn’t some fuckin local chain. On top of that, my store turns a nice profit. You would think with how cheaply the slaves at my store are being paid, they could afford to bring in some additional help. Nope, they are just too fucking stupid. Management can’t take a hint from all the shit that isn’t getting done I guess. They are fine with their slaves being overworked, constantly stressed out, understaffed, and underpaid as long as management can rake in a few more dollars a year. Yeah, fuck the customer. Make them wait in line forever, make them carry their own shit out, make them have no carts to use, make them have nothing to buy off the shelves. Fucking cheap idiots. Needless to say, I want a new job.

The ONLY language these Neanderthals understand is if people STOP spending money at tarshit, It is the ONLY way these FI*&ERS will learn anything,, hint hint people STOP shopping at tarshit, tell all your friends too, they will lock the doors fast enough then, what a gift we'd all get when they leave , keep the BS in Minnesota, thank you, we don;t want it...do I seem bitter? HELL YES, i too worked my ass off for these ungrateful PIGS, and all they do is complain or make life worse and worse for us, ,

If it makes you feel better, you are not alone. Reading your post, I could swear you were talking about my store! Insufficient staff, long lines, the "fast service" lady calling on the walkie every 2 minutes, ETLs hanging out in TSC while the rest of us slave, the guest service desk TM having to simultaneously handle photo lab duties and GSTL lunches, etc...and on and on and on...
I walked out on Target midshift three years ago for all of the above reasons. Totally agree and there is better work out there!!!! Go for it!
