So I’ve been working here for a year. And I have some good things and bad things about this store for me. I am dayside backroom that’s all I do. The guys back there are cool and all. Although I’ve had issues our counterparts in early morning.
Well ill let me start with early morning backroom. The team lead is a major asshole.

(0) First off, FUCK RED CARDS and everything they stand for. If i didnt hate the color red before, I hate it now. I thought it would be great to work at Target since its close to heaven shopping there, but i was wrong, just like i always am. I worked in softlines and the first 3 days of work wasnt that bad. I was new to everything and i was still training, so i basically just walked around and avoided “GUEST” (like ppl care) because I didn’t know shit about anything or its location…..and i hate being bothered with stupid questions…

So, I get a job at Target thinking I could do what I usually do when I get a job and just do my job well enough to earn a lead position, work my way up. I started about 3 weeks ago in softlines, nothing but other females. They are all pretty cool to work with but the “leads”….goddamn, whatta bunch of cunts.
Likes(41)Dislikes(8) I work early morning flow doing pulls. Early morning now starts at 6am instead of 4 like it used to be. Goodbye shift differential. Hello store still opening at 8. So we have two less hours to get the pulls and unload done and to get the shelves stocked and trash/back stock taken care of before the store opens. Of course they also cut hours for sales floor people. There aren’t any of them in the morning now. Flow is just expected to do that job too. There’s pallets and cardboard cages everywhere that customers have to pick their way around to do their shopping. My STL says “we just have to educate customers about the way things are going to be now”. Really? If you have to educate your customers about why they can’t go down an aisle to grab their corn flakes because there’s boxes bowled out everywhere because you cut hours back so severely…maybe that’s not the best business plan. Customers should not have to get used to you fucking them over.
Likes(20)Dislikes(0) I was recently informed by one of my close team leader friends that I work with at my Target down south that she would be retiring at the end of September. I didn’t really ask too many details. She has been here for a while and I understood why she was.
It wasn’t until later that I found out talking to another one of my friends, that our STL actually informed a different team leader that he would have to quit or retire in order to make room for the younger team members who wanted to be promoted to a team leader. She also informed me that the same team leader who I’d been talking to earlier who is retiring had basically been told the same thing. She told me they have been trying to push her out of her position for a while.
Now I don’t know about you…………. But that does not sound professional or legal in any way shape or form.
But then again. It is Target. They assume they can do whatever the fuck they want.
Likes(20)Dislikes(1) When I started target was jus being built and the team at the time seemed cool, I have met really great friends and good people but of course that’s only the team members. I myself work at the target in Hawaii and I will tell you that their style does not mix well with the culture here, they try to take advantage and fuck with us locals without knowing this is a pretty tight community. They hire the most dumb fucking ass backwards people they can find.
Likes(27)Dislikes(3) How to begin… I applied at Target very soon after I turned sixteen. They emailed me back and said that they weren’t interested in me. Two months later, I get a call from Target practically begging me to reapply, and I was hired with an interview that maybe had three questions. What? I love cashiering and Target. 90 Day Review? No big deal, I got a .25 cent raise. A couple weeks later, another .26 cents for my yearly review. Wow, Target sure is an awesome place to work.

I was always brought up to stick to a job until something came along, as much as I hated that place, I was loyal to them for nearly 8 years. I tried a few times to jump ship but I never managed to get on anywhere else mostly due to being a college student.

Why do people argue with a fellow hater when that hater states what they hate? I read replies to posts such as, “It’s your fucking job to make lattes for guests! Stop bitching and just do your job!” I find this to be wildly ironic, not just because this IS a website specifically designed to complain about our shitty jobs, but because it sounds so VERY TARGETISH!!!!! Typical fucking assbackwards tards that have their heads so far up their fucking poop shoots they don’t even know where they are or whatthefuck is going on! Likes(31)Dislikes(41) I’ve been with them for 3 years so far and it’s never enough for them. They love mistreating you while you bust your ass and then telling you you’re not good enough. I’ve been over working as a flow team member for a while, to the point where I just don’t give a fuck about anything. The worst part is there is no way a team member let alone overnight shift can be heard. My boss is a fat ass lazy bitch who takes things way too personally when I don’t wanna talk to her and just be left alone to work at my pace. But that’s okay, she has to live with being herself, that’s punishment enough.
