MISTREATED EMPLOYEES AND FUCKING REDCARDS!!
I’ve been working at Target for about 3 months now. I was very excited to start working here, this is my 3rd job so far. I’m an High School student and was able to accept any hours they wanted to give me. I stayed late one time, and even volunteered to pick up other peoples shifts! But anyway, I’m a cashier. I’m such a peoples person, I greet all of my guest with a bright and early smile, every single day! I engage in conversations, even with rude shitty guest. I am a very speedy cashier, with an average of 91%-98% at checkout speed. I’ve earned 5 REDCards (over 3 months) but that’s not enough for Target. Everyday I am harassed by our LOD about fucking REDCards. I hate when the bitch pulls out the conversion sheet and shows how bad the chart looks. Our EXEC is such a snooter and talks like she has something stuck up her ass. She literally pulls everyone aside to ask WHY they aren’t selling enough REDCards!

Our store actually has a table with red card applications on it right inside the front doors now because our STL is getting heat for not meeting conversion goals. They even have one of the poor softlines gals standing there asking people if they've "heard about the red card" like some demented fucking Walmart greeter.
Maybe you all could do what I did. I used to work at Kohls. (You know they are famous for pushing their Kohls card). I was hired to unload the truck of merchandise in mornings and also to stock the floor. Around the Christmas season, they were pressuring us to walk the floors to push the Kohls card on the shoppers. I flat out refused stating that when I applied for work, it was under the assumption that I would be working as a merchant and not as a sales person of credit cards. I told them that there's a reason why I am not a door to door salesperson, that I didn't believe in luring vulnerable unsuspecting shoppers into getting a card with an exorbitant percentage fee - most of whom aren't aware that just applying for any card can lower your credit score. I told them that it made me feel uncomfortable, that it went against my morals, and that I wasn't going to do it. They never asked me again! Good luck to all of you at Target. It's really sad that these brick and mortar stores are all turning into credit card companies unbeknownst to the consumers.
That wouldn't fly at target. Anybody that tried that would be written up for insubordination, and not performing their required tasks. Or just fired for some other fake reason.
that's because target is losing money to other credit issuers so they want every customer who walks in to pay with a credit card. They are broke, so they are trying to save money by shaving off their interchange fees. That being said, only red card I'll get is the rbc target chip and pin mastercard and that's if I ever decide to drop down to the states. Since that means when the dollar is at par, target gets to pay my forex fees.

It's impossible to fully enjoy this sight with all of your do-gooder, know-it-all comments. Jesus Christ, man, who do you work for and why? Nothing Target does can be justified and ALL anti-Target posts are to be sided with and congratulated. Stop making excuses for this fucking joint.

So much heat on red card sales. Target's desperate to recoup the money they lost from the data breach. Not a matter of being a know it all but rather deducing from facts presented. trying to shave costs here and there.
