So they don’t necessarily want the most qualified candidates for promotions. Nor do they want the hardest working. It’s a who you know type of situation. After first year I received no raise. I never missed a day. I was late once by 2 minutes. I have the experience in retail to have a team lead position but they gave it to some 20 year old that worked in a restaurant previously. Not only that, he’s always showing up late in the morning shifts because of being out drinking all night. He slept in a Wendy’s parking lot and missed work. Still has his job, promotion, and pay. WOW. Forget the job position, I produce far more than other employees some of which came after me and got hired for more money. I make $9 while someone with no experience comes in and get $10.50 ————————————– rant over

(4) Will The LODs, or whoever, know whether you got a Redcard or not by checking your status on their computers? For example: After the cash register’s computer says the application for the debit/credit card is complete and that the card will be mailed to the customer within seven to ten days, is a message automatically sent to the office saying you got one? I’m asking this because I have not sold one in so long, that I’m willing to lie that I sold a few so my LODS and GSTAs will stop demanding I sell one. I am horrible at selling them, so my conversion score is often red. So far, I lied twice and they believed me, but I just want to make sure before I lie again.
Likes(18)Dislikes(2) I had friends that went straight into a ETL position or some leadership role from College with little to no experience, but I wanted to put in some work at the bottom to earn my keep learn about Target. I suggest noone ever come into Target starting at the Bottom better to come in on top. I have my Bachelors and I have experience in other roles, but I needed a job fast and wanted to get in their system because THEY told me they love to promote from within oh god that was a lie.
Likes(27)Dislikes(3) So Target was warned two months in advance that there might be a possible breach into their point of sales systems but they simply brushed the warnings aside and now this breach is currently estimated to cost them over 400 million dollars. I wonder if the company will ever bounce back from this traumatic experience. So many law suits! They have since downsized in cutting back positions both worldwide and in the U.S. Local stores. Stores have until September to get to head count so etl’s and team leaders whose positions will no longer be relevant will have until September to get new jobs or perhaps transfer to another store in a different available position. NO severance pay is given to such. Through out our district, people are leaving the company regardless, STL’s included.

I applied to a bunch of different places and Target ended up contacting me for an interview. The world’s most evil LOD loved me during the interview, as such I was hired directly to guest services, which surprised me as I thought I would be stuck cashiering. For the first day of training, it was wonderful. Then it all turned to shit.

Likes(9)Dislikes(0) I have had so many jobs in my life, but target is the worst fucking job I have ever had in my life, i wish they closed all targets in the world, the most fucking ridiculous job i have ever had in my life, the team leaders are fucking bitches who think they are the shit, they schedule one person to do everything and get everything done on like 4 hours, they never used to send me on my breaks, i went like 2 months without ever getting my 15 minute break because they only scheduled one fucking person and said nobody could cover for me fucking, management is horrible and scheduling is horrible, there is no relashionships with team leads and regular employees, and its all based on preference on who kisses the most ass gets the most hours. target is a horrible horrible place to work at. it was the worst mistake i ever did in my life applying to target. all TEAM LEADS ARE FAKE AS HELL, they will smie at who they want to then turn their back and yell at you….
