I am confused…We were all told Target in Canada was not Target USA…but……
I am very confused target leadership. Since day one, over a year ago, we heard from the leadership how we are target Canada, we have a head office in Mississauga, and are not just an extension of target USA.
There is even a whole management team for target Canada as well. Then it came time for Quebec stores to open up, and getting things right there was clearly important to target, as so far they had not got things right in the rest of the country yet. No doubt a team of marketers and other was set up to get things right for Quebec, just as many things from the US don’t translate right away to English Canada simply, well much more so that those US things won’t translate to French Canada. Quebec culture won’t really accept things like calling a Customer a guest,…an an example. a Guest is someone you invite into your home, and have coffee with around a fireplace or a glass of wine or something. My understanding is that the word “client” is being used. I hope I am making my point. US concepts just can”t be imported here or shoved in our faces and it will all work out somehow.
Which brings me too my point, and confusion….(most things about target are confusing to many of us, but we try and just go with the flow)…if we work for a Canadian target , a separate subsidiary even , why on earth do our Canadian T4 slips say issued by target, brooklyn park MN, USA?????????? If we have a real valid head office in Mississauga , (and it is not just a sham), why on earth do our Canadian tax forms not show issued from there, and not MN?????
Is this simply more lies target? or?

Are you really Gullible? Target is Target whether it's here or in China. Sure they have regional offices that over see other countries but the Mother ship is in MN. A turd is a turd no matter where it is lol
@buymeamovie1st.......I was showing a great example of how target lies through its teeth is all. They motivated us by saying to us over and over, oh no, we are target Canada (notice I don't capitalise the name of the store, they don't deserve it), then when they have what they want, they say their proverbial &*( you's to us.
Many of us were gullible at first yes, (remember everything in Canada was brand new, set up from the ground up, and mostly by us target slaves TM's as well). Within a month we knew it's just normal to be lied to over and over at target.
You are right about a turd is just a turd, true enough though! One day they will stop pretending they are so wonderful and fabulous and admit they are the worse corporate entity on this planet as far as treating people. That may not happen though until it is the day all stores are shut, that it sinks in to their cult mentality. I hope that day is very soon. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!
Only reason i'm not gullible is i researched them 1st. And in my research I happened on this site which told me Target is ugh!
Some of my co-workers were moaning about our raises. 🙂 I told them look on the bright side! At least we don't get 9 cent raises or even worse 4 cent raises. We get 40 cent raises.
Who gives a shit!! Target sucks WORLDWIDE!
