I have had so many jobs in my life, but target is the worst fucking job I have ever had in my life, i wish they closed all targets in the world, the most fucking ridiculous job i have ever had in my life, the team leaders are fucking bitches who think they are the shit, they schedule one person to do everything and get everything done on like 4 hours, they never used to send me on my breaks, i went like 2 months without ever getting my 15 minute break because they only scheduled one fucking person and said nobody could cover for me fucking, management is horrible and scheduling is horrible, there is no relashionships with team leads and regular employees, and its all based on preference on who kisses the most ass gets the most hours. target is a horrible horrible place to work at. it was the worst mistake i ever did in my life applying to target. all TEAM LEADS ARE FAKE AS HELL, they will smie at who they want to then turn their back and yell at you….

(10) I posted in this forum not too long ago, but after 4 years of working at corporate misery, I finally put in my 2 week notice. The way Target treats their employees is unreal. I got scheduled at the oddest hours. I might be 3-10pm one night and then scheduled to work 4am the next morning, since it’s not at least 8 hrs in between. I would either get off at 8pm or start the next day at 6am. I always got coached over something petty. Everytime my leader came around I would get annoyed, but still nervous because I knew she was going to say I did something wrong. I’ve worked every position in the store except AP, Starbucks, and SFT. After 4 years I now only make 9.44 an hr in California. They talked down on me, Gave me unrealistic expectations and was never given recognition for actually finishing those tasks 100%. Instead I get a lecture on something else that wasn’t done their way.

(1) Never work hard. Ever. If at all possible, only “pretend” to work hard when there is a guests nearby, at which point, you are to bury your head into your PDA and walk away as fast as you can.
Likes(100)Dislikes(11) Being coached SUCKS BIG TIME!!! I had to be coached so many different times on so many different things, it was so annoying. I was coached on red cards, taking too long to clean the restroom, keeping guest service and food avenue clean.

I was promoted to GSA, demoted from GSA and now working as a backroom team member all in the amount of 3 years and 11 months. I was great team hero and a trainer within my first year and I liked my job. Everything was looking up at this place until they made it clear that they don’t care very much about hard working employees. We soon got a few new hardlines team members that I had to train to initiate them into the team and our team was green the whole time I was in that workcenter. I lead the zones and always made sure that we finished our job 100% before we left and on time. Sounds like everything is going the way it should right?

Not only is it one of the most popular target stores where I live but the target is located in one of the wealthiest areas and its surrounded by large corporate company’s. I despise my job. Not only do I have the most rudest customers but also the most annoying customers. Taking orders for these professional mom’s that come in with there kids after their morning jog is absolutely annoying, they treat you like shit and talk to you even worse but I have to say the worst are the corporate big shots. I’ll say “Hi can I take you order” and they don’t even acknowledge me, they just start ordering their drink and don’t even look at me, They just stare off into space. To top it off my ETL is a major cunt.

I started working there when I was 16 it was my first job so I was very grateful I enjoyed the training part and the first couple of weeks but my hatred for the job started to grow. First off, the managers are just assholes! They abuse their power they act like they’re the king and queen of Scotland or something.
