A little background, I work at a tarshit in a pretty shady part of the country and therefore our store is always getting ghetto ass people coming in trying to scam the store with fake coupons, giftcard scams, and credit card scams. At first I actually cared and always was a hard ass if a coupon didn’t go through or a card looked tampered with. However, after one fat ass cunt bitch complained to my LOD that I didn’t take her 1000000 coupons, which were all copied, I was told that I should be more “bold” and go ahead and give our “guests” discounts and accept their coupons and not questions whether they are real or not because the “guest” is always right. All of this coming from an LOD who just fucking started!

I am a senior in high school, I’m 17 years old and recently got a job at target. It’s my first job so I’m really excited about it. I get paid $8 an hour. Right now I just do cashiering. I feel as though I didn’t get proper training. I often struggle when people ask me questions or try to sign up for a redcard. I don’t know much about target I just know how to make sales. It was my second day and I felt they expected me to be really good at cashiering and seemed to get annoyed when I would have to call someone over even if it was for alcohol sales.

1252. If the fire marshal were to make surprise inspections we would definitely be shut down. We have so much “product” in the backroom (more than we have proper room for) it’s a safety hazard. Fire lanes and exits are always blocked. I’ve mentioned it several times to management but they’re more interested in the “Save 5%” flare we’re supposed to wear on our shirts and getting conversions. THEY DON’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT SAFETY!

Fucking Target does it again! I needed to take a few days off to help my grandpa out after he has surgery. I request the time off appropriately and ahead of time thinking that maybe they’ll accept it. NOPE. They just went ahead and auto denied it! AUTO DENIED IT!

Target 1415 in Wheaton Maryland is the worst of them all and should be closed for good. That place has the worst management u have ever seen they all act cocky and act like they can’t be touched. I recently got fired from that place for “no call no show” but I feel like it was unfair the way they fired me every time I tried to call off cause I was sick as a dog they would never answer my calls.

Been a cashier for about 9 months ago, got tired of it about 8 months ago and it hasn’t gotten any easier dealing with these fucktard LOD’s. As soon as I started, the decided to send me to assist the cart attendants in retrieving the carts from outside. Recently, they cross-trained me to be a cart attendant on my own and I can’t stand it. I’m out here pushing carts and this one bitch ass LOD is screaming for “cart attendant” over the fucking walkie to clean the bathroom.

okay so i am currently a Biology Pre-Med Major and Fall semester is coming. School is my top priority so I study about 25 hrs weekly when the semester comes by. I asked for my availability for school to be Sundays 8am-6, Mondays/Wednesdays 2pm-10pm, Tuesdays Thursdays Unavailable, Fridays 8-5pm, Saturdays available all day….This got denied because it was “Too Restrictive”

When I started at Target, it seemed too good to be true. TV in the Break room, Free food events every week, Chat sessions to talk about issues and ideas each and every team member had. It was as close to perfect as a work place could be, everything but the hours at first but over time it all worked out and after the first year i saw it as a very positive and for-filling job. Then it all changed.

Just curious… Are all cashier jobs exhausting? Or just Tarshit’s? It doesn’t matter if it’s a long or short shift. A four hour shift feels like I just worked an eight hour shift. I come home, feet sore, throat scratchy, and utterly tired.
Granted, I only work weekends due to school etc, but I work hard on those three to four shifts in a row. I like to earn my money. I am also often targeted by a GSA who constantly makes me zone the one spot (most confusing and frustrating place I have ever encountered), the trading card wall, and go fetch items to restock the front shelves. She also loves to constantly remind me of my low red card conversion scores and threatens coaching. I find myself especially tired after having to spend a full eight hours with her.

Management is a gaggle of inept-o-raters without exception, hard-working employees are underpaid, unappreciated, and mistreated, and we are all dead inside. Basically, the same complaints you hear from every other employee of this company, ever. Nothing will ever get better without unions.
Years wasted.
