I was hired full time to do a overnight remodel of the Westminster, MD target with the promise that I would be moved the the back room when it’s over. Sure enough as soon as the remodel was done I wasn’t on the schedule anymore. When I asked why they told me that my school schedule was to blame and that they didn’t have a position for me after the remodel. I feel used, I could have gotten a job elsewhere and they hired me under false pretenses. Don’t work for this target. Go to Walmart.

Alright, so I’ve been at Target for almost a year and I’ve observed how my store is ran. It’s like a fucking sorority, but worse. All the TL’s take their breaks at the same time as do the LOD’S and The STL. Which is really fucking annoying.

Literally that is all target cares about. Cashiers kept getting a lot of coaching for not getting enough and at my store they were also threatened with their job if they don’t start getting more. I never liked asking for the guests to apply for one.

I recently had a couple interviews at Target. For my first interview I got there about 15 minutes early and waited 25-30 minutes to meet with the interviewer, but not too bad.
They had me come in for a second interview about 4 hours later. Again, I got there about 15 minutes early. I WAITED OVER AN HOUR FOR SOMEONE TO INTERVIEW ME THE SECOND TIME….. AN HOUR!!!

Hello!
For about a year now, i have been working at Target. Currently i am a TPS. I was originally hired as a Seasonal team member for Backroom. It was a great opportunity because at the time i really needed a job that worked around my college hours. (still do) I slaved away in the backroom for around 8 or 9 months.

I can’t believe I work at target it’s a living hell. My name is Insert name here and i was a softlines team member but i got switched to hardlines and I thought I would be free and feel relaxed. But as my three months ended I started to feel physically and emotionly drained. I tried to be positive but I can’t anymore.

So bare with me here. I have only worked for Target (team 0613) for only a year now and it has been a literal HELL! At first it was alright, but then by my 4th or 5th month (everything is a blur now thanks to how they schedule me), my LOD and a few others started to badger and treat me unfairly.

Long story short, quit before probationary period ended. Don’t really care about opinions like “if you can’t make it 90 days good luck in the real world!” Well I didn’t go to college and graduate to work retail, so save the comment for someone who cares.

Back on here ranting again. I moved in with some roommates in order to be closer to school, so I couldn’t afford to stay at the store I was working at, so I transferred to a different target location since it was closer. Two months later the location I’m working at sucks (mainly the GSA’s/guests/hours are the reason). There is also the reason that I was promised to get a higher staff position but that never happened either.

As Cart Attendant, one of my responsibilities is to do carry-outs. So if a Guest is too weak to lift something, or if the item is large/heavy and is brought up to the checkout lanes on a flatbed, it is my duty to assist the Guest in getting the items in his/her car. Ok. No problem.
