What can I say, I fucking hate the bastards.
When I started target was jus being built and the team at the time seemed cool, I have met really great friends and good people but of course that’s only the team members. I myself work at the target in Hawaii and I will tell you that their style does not mix well with the culture here, they try to take advantage and fuck with us locals without knowing this is a pretty tight community. They hire the most dumb fucking ass backwards people they can find.
When I started working there I was wrongfully terminated because I was called away for military duty which I asked my ETL if he needed my orders and etc. He told me no and that it was fine I just need to come back after, which I did, and then I found out I couldn’t clock in. So I continuously talked to them about it but they just shrugged it off and told me to fill out a punch correction. It took the HR ETL 2 and 1/2 weeks to figure out she put in my termination paper, at that point I knew I was over it.
After that incident I decided to stay on cause I need the money and at the time we have really really great TL’s because they were from the area. I worked my fucking ass off unloading the truck, doing repacks (which I did straight for a yr), smashing auto fills, bowling as fast as I could, and being fast fun and friendly. Yet, the douchebag ETL wanted us to work harder.
Within a year and a half they had only 1 set crew to unload and pretty much do everything while the fucking shot bags they hired who kiss ass get to sit and fuck around.

Hawaiian Target is exactly like mine, here in Georgia. Typical Target bullshit.
I gotta say.......You summed it up just right.
same thing here in canada. And as a result they're losing money big time. Lost nearly 1 billion last year. when they 1st opened they were more expensive than the most expensive grocer in town. They don't understand the local culture or try to adapt. Canada is a mosaic culture not a god damn melting pot. big asian community. No celebration of the usual chinese new year decorations that the old store in the location used to have. All they had was superbowl advertisement. >_> People aren't americans who are omg superbowl! MUST WATCH! We watch hockey for crying out loud. We don't have the same craze as you for american football

Speaking of military duty, anybody find it strange target doesn't offer military discounts for being a "diverse" store? At least mine doesn't offer it.
