Let me start by apologizing for this vent but I really need some help here…
I’ve worked for target now going on 5 years.I am now and have always been a guest service attendant. My availability has always been open because,I don’t have a reason to close it.However I am being treated unfairly when it comes to the schedule.

The last day I worked at target was a Saturday and at the end of my shift, the LOD at the time was trying to tell me that they hired me wrong and that I was now a seasonal employee instead of a part time employee. But what she didn’t know is that I still have the paperwork stating that I am a part time worker. Instead of her being nice about it she turns around and says with a look on her face that I should be a seasonal worker. I didn’t really care that she said this to me anyways because I am quitting anyways to go to a better job where I don’t have shitty hours or have to work weekends or nights.

I’ve been working for target for about 8 months now and everytime I walk through the door I want to turn around. If the guests weren’t enough, the management is no better. What do you guys hate about working guest service?

So, yesterday was probably one of the most interesting days so far. It was yesterday that I heard over the walkie “can someone help a customer on C7?” To which the LOD replied “reminder guys, they are guests nor customers” and boy did I have to just nod my head for a solid minute just to express my distaste for this stupid “guest” bullshit.

After serving just over 6 years with the company, I’ve called it quits after I accepted a new job. While at Target, I took my job seriously without kissing a$$; I came to work, did my job, busted my hump, and finished the job correctly. I began as a cart attendant as a freshman in college, moved to the backroom, sales floor, electronics, and eventually as a Guest Service Attendant.

Here’s a little bit about me. I am a minor (17), this is my first job, and I am a female employer. I’m a hardworker and i’m extremely outgoing with customers.
Its been about 3 months working at Target. I was excited to work here considering i’ve shopped here with my family for years. I enjoy working in Electronics, but overal hate the store and the dumbass LOD’s and shit.

I started working at Target since October and like many, I made the fatal mistake of assuming it would be a positive experience. Now that I’m not working there anymore, I can reflect on how shitty it was.

24 yr old STL whom thinks he knows everything. Treats everyone like machines not people. Says ” its not how hard you work, its all perception ” really you leave 22-24 carts of stray on top of a 2200 RDC trailer. 368 FDC trailer and 2 pallets of McLane- zone- help work back room all for Flow to work..

fair warning this may be a little long.
I started working at target a few weeks ago, as it was my first job ever I was excited. I am a minor and I actually got a job because my family is currently homeless ( living in a motel) and we are barley able to pay to stay here ( a fact that my employers were fully aware of.)
