DUDE…strippers get more respect than cashiers and guest service team members. Unless guests walk up to guest service, it is nearly impossible to get a REDCARD, but don’t tell the GSAs that. They think the people at Starbucks could get redcards, the fuck?! The people who come into target are generally really nice and funny, but sometimes you get assholes that make you consider jail time for fucking with you. I don’t even ask if people want redcards anymore; I just hint that if they accidentally entered in the wrong information, they would get denied, but I’d be able to help them save 5%. BAM everyone wins. My GSA gets off my ass and the guest saves 5% without fucking up their credit. I work in a rich part of town (the kind of rich where people pull up in their aston martin and maserattis) NO ONE GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT SAVING MONEY. I’m a college student, I don’t have time to worry about if I am going to have a job next week because I’m not getting redcards. I think it is time to start working out so I can start my job as a stripper, swinging on the pole to pay for college.

(2) So, I’ve only been working at Target for about… 5 and a half weeks (seems like one week of actual work, so I think that’s probably closer to the days I’ve actually worked–as opposed to calendar days. Maybe 1.5-2 weeks, not really sure. But I digress…).

Now, I’ve been working retail for many years and aside from some general annoyances, I’ve enjoyed it. 3 months ago I was hired as a Starbucks Barista. Let the venting commence in no particular order.

Likes(18)Dislikes(7) I’ve only been working at target for a month and I was surprised they hired me because I’m pregnant they even gave me a stool to sit on if needed it they also offered me a fan I thought wow they are very accommodating. Well after about two weeks my tl came to me and said I couldn’t use the stool anymore and that the hr guy wanted o talk to me. Well my tl was very rude about how she approached me in front of my coworkers and guests I was so ashamed! When I got to the guys office and told him how rude she was he had the nerve to have an attitude with me when they say you can come to them for anything they lied every week since then its been some bs well today they called me in and said they have me on video not giving a customer a $5 gift card the customer told me I could keep it and. Told her I’d probably get in trouble for it she said she didn’t see a problem they also told me that they tracked down all my purchases using my discount card and that I wasn’t allowed to buy anything and leave it in the store which I didn’t know they don’t inform you on much they just throw you out there and you kind of learn as you go I didn’t bother explaining myself I just said ok I understand and I left . This is target in lake Charles Louisiana . I felt like they had been looking for any reason to fire me ever since I complained on my manager . A lot of sneaky things go down at target I just hope they’re watching everybody as close as they where watching me what a bunch of bullshit !

Have you ever talked to an ETl about anything other than Target? I understand this could be completely subjective, but none of my managers have any desire for anything other than driving sales and pushing red cards.

I like it when you take fucking forever to find your credit card and I wind up getting a poor cashier score so my LOD complains about my R’s. I also like when you pay entirely in 1’s… I mean really? What are we your fucking bank?? I like it when you have a motherfucking screaming baby who you just let yell and fucking yell. I like it more when you reward the negative behavior with candy or affection. That kid don’t need fucking candy, he needs a good fucking ass beating. I guaran fucking tee you if that kid kid got ass whoopings regularly he wouldn’t be doing that shit.

I over heard him saying he worked at Target night stock manager in camarillo CA. Is there a night manager in Camarillo named Jerry? Stock Manager? He said it was his first day back after 8 months off due to back injury. I just need to know if this guy is telling the truth or not. Or if he is scamming my sister? please text my phone at REMOVED if you know something. I really would appreciate it.
P.S. update. my sister said Jerry ran off to his first night back at work at Target and then showed up at her house again three hours later saying they fired him. Does this sound like something Target would do?

I get 1-4 redcards a night but I do it more because I like to help guests, and SOMETIMES they give us free electronics movies (or rare cases they give you any item from electronics and once I grabbed a $14.99 skylander and have a bunch of freebie $5 movies) but none of this has to do with my issue. I’m autistic so I tend to be very specific in how I interact with most guests, and I tell jokes like “I see you bought some alchohol, well I don’t have to wish you a good night, you’ve planned ahead, but make sure the next morning isn’t so bad” and people laugh, I tell people “If you subscribe to Playstation Plus instead of buying this game you can get it for free, and like 15 other games” and so the guests really aren’t my issue.
My issue is with the indentured servitude bullshit. My issue is with them acting like we owe them something because they pay us a MIRACULOUS 50 cents or maybe a dollar or 2 above the federal minimum wage based on circumstances, and you have a chance to get like 15-30 cents raise maybe or what ever. Tonight was a huge straw and I was seeing red, punching walls, and nearly flipped my vehicle I was so angry. I was scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and then scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then they had the balls to keep us an hour and a half late.

Guess the district manager, the district human resources manager, the group leader, the regional whatever title he was and s slew of target etl’s, some senior team leads and team leaders all who have all quit target-all from the Houston area must have seen/experienced the stressful, demonizing, outrageous company that target has become. Senior management in all of these local stores are harassing the hell out of team members about red cards even off the clock,by text messages, on their lunch breaks, breaks, calling the the damn stores every 30 minutes to the hours to see how much red cards they store has!!
