Coming from the perspective of someone who worked for Target Mobile at 5 different stores in my district for 2 years, and has friends and family who have worked for Target for 4 years, 7 years, and 15 years — I can sum up everything I’ve ever learned about Target in three words: ‘Target goes on’
And what I mean by that is Target is a poorly managed mess of a company that lets babies die, and dreams break, so that it may live!

(3) So, my schedule for two weeks had dropped to only two day for that week. I wondered why. Well our motherfucking STL over scheduled the week before, but you’d think he would over schedule us. NOPE. The mfer over scheduled in softlines and decided to cut from Cafe. How the fuck is that fair? If you over schedule in soft lines do cuts from softlines. #NewSTL

Likes(74)Dislikes(14) So I transferred to this store because we were moving, I was excited for a fresh start instead of my last useless store who treated me like poo. At first it was nice, and it’s like everyone was absolutely rude to me. I transferred as a GSA. The GSTL was excited she didn’t have to train me, but I didn’t know their store and some how that didn’t click with anyone.

Ok so I was desperately looking for a job near my college campus for easy commuting in December so I applied to the Target near there since they were hiring at the time and the city had a lot of working opportunity.

Anyways so, they hired me & everything was all good until I realized the head lady in HR is trash & talks shit on all the employees to other employees. Nothing but a dramatic bitch. I was “still within my 90 days” and literally had to call in cause I was puking and literally felt like I was dying. She tells me “you’ll be written up since you’re within your 90 days & it’s going on your attendance. Would you like that?” So I hung up. After that, she was trash to me. And any other “team member” who had to call in for their own well being?

1. The time I got sexually harassed at work.
At the time I was a 19 year old girl working in electronics . I was used to the usual creeper here and there, but I never expected it from a co worker. Now this guy worked for Target mobile and was about 45 at the time, and with a son about my age.
Likes(8)Dislikes(6) I currently work at a little bit of a smaller Target in Hardlines. Starting out as seasonal, I was pretty glad and excited to have a $12/hour job that was going to offer me lots of hours, or so they said. After what I have to assume was a pretty normal Christmas season, as I had never worked retail from Black Friday through the end of the year, I was still somewhat positive. Of course, I had seen some issues that deeply upset me, like the fact that our store has no backstop team leaving untrained and unsupervised team members to climb up 25 foot ladders with bulky and awkward 30+lb boxes to backstop, which is wholly against OSHA regulations, but I let it slide because I needed a job and it was never addressed in a reasonable way when I brought it up. I was just told by the LODs that “it would be fixed during the remodel later this year” or “I know, but just be careful.”

They would ask me if they could use it right away & I would say yes. NOT KNOWING I WASNT ALLOWED TO BECAUSE NO ONE EVER TOLD ME.

I went to work with fevers, with terrible ovary pains, on 2 hours of sleep. I barely ever missed a shift, mostly because when younger workers missed a shift they would absolutely destroy them. They would call you into the back room and just annihilate your self esteem. They would blame stuff that happened that day on you not showing up, and it got so bad that kids were afraid to call in, and came to work with the flu.
