So I went to visit my old co-workers to introduce them to my newborn son (since I was pregnant while working there), only to discover my favorite team lead was fired a month ago. Why? Because he called out a few times thanks to his injured foot! Target He had an injured foot for many months (I want to say since may be November). They threatened his job if he were to have gone in a wheelchair for whatever reason. Ironically the HR ETL was in one for 6 months because she had a high risk pregnancy in the past!

This will be first of many posts. Let’s start off by saying I was hired in as a seasonal sales floor team member in November of 2014. I became known as the “closer” and got 35-40 hours a week and was pretty content with that. Then I was told that I would become a regular team member.

So I was told to zone a clearance end cap that was stuffed with stupid shit no one buys, our team lead says it’s supposed to look like any other end cap.. Yeah right, bitch I only get 4 hour shifts and they want me to zone 3 areas as well as back up cashier, stupid carry outs, customer service, and now zone this stupid clearance that’s going to be cleared out tommorow anyway? Fuck you! I get paid minimum wage hoe might as well bend me over and fuck me in the ass too. Fuck target. That is all.

Oh target where do I even start with this awful hatrid. It is now to the point where I dread work and my 50 cent raise above minimum wage doesn’t do jack squat anymore. It all starts when I walk into the office before my shift to get a locker. I open one and it’s full of tuperware, I open another and it has a lunch box. Really?? Is it THAT hard you can’t possibly dig out a quarter and lock your fucking locker? There is a goddammed fridge for a reason also. I then hang up my jacket, which there really is no point because by the end of my shift its always on the floor anyways knocked off by employees who leave it there. I then attempt to punch in and let it beep at me for five hours and then walk onto the floor as cashier. I check to see what lane I’m on and set up my register with the 2 ten dollar bills they give you which run out after one “guest”. I hang my flimsy ass bags that never fail to stick together and end up all over the floor. Before I even have a chance to turn on my lane light I already have a line of people waiting to be checked out screaming “Are you open???” understaffed again I see. I mumble yes, and they start to unload their cart with mulitple of the same item that they will try and use their fake fraudulent $20 dollar off coupons for razors that don’t even match their item.

So I haven’t worked at Target in close to a year now. It’s a long story for those of you who are new to this site but long story short it’s a very stupid reason. It was a blessing in disguise though. Anyways tax season is upon us. I’d like to get a head start on filing my taxes so I can go back to school and earn my degree I was working hard for. I am very determined to go back, but filing a FAFSA requires tax info from the previous year. So Id like to know from former employees if they got their final W2 from Target on time or if Target was a bully about it. I know it is illegal to not give a former employee their W2 but Target strikes me as the type of company that would be a bully about it and mail it to you late or worse.

So I’ve worked at an Australian Target for the past 2 years and let me tell you it’s been hell from the start of my first shift.
I never decided to actually post about this hell hole until now, however I frequently scroll through here before my shifts to make me feel like my anger towards going to work and dealing with all the shit thrown at me is shared, which makes me feel slightly less alone about my hateful thoughts and feelings towards this place.

What I dont respect about Target is there nonchalant care for their employees. Ive worked at Target for about 7 months and was OKAY with it at first. I mean this isnt my first go-around in retail, so i knew what to expect from department stores. But recently things have went “stupid dumb” in my store.
I wont say what store or position I am, because you never know. There are lurkers everywhere. Anyway, a new “Team member” was hired in my department – we clicked, talked about the happenings. Until she outright abuse the fact that i would cover her hours because I had bills to pay. When I asked her to cover one of my shifts, she immediately dismissed me. So I will not cover anyones shift ever. I will never fill in for a call out. They have to work with the fuck they were left with.

There are better things to complain about if you work for Target, but I just thought I’d mention that I will continue to wear red, and also khaki, but NEVER again will I pair them. Also, Target taints the color red, and I will never be able to look at it again without thinking of the hellish time I spent there. Now that I’ve quit, I am going to build a bonfire so that I can burn my uniforms in effigy.

Hello fellow Target loathers,
I’ve come to this glorious website today to share with you all that as of today, September 19th, I am no longer employed at Target!
No more worrying about absurd expectations of productivity, the “vibe,” guests, accuracy or any of that bullshit.
