This happened many times at different stores. Just last night, I did buy a carton of 24 Dasani bottles advertised for $3.99 (regular price). At the register I was charged $4.99. Having not check my receipt, I would have been overcharged once again.
Publix grocery store has a policy that if you are charged a different price than the one advertised, the item is free. Publix do not overcharge at the register.
If Publix can do it, why is it that Target cannot do it ?That is why I avoid Target as much as I can.

This was my first job. I’m 18 and it was pretty simple how I got fired. I looked at my schedule incorrectly and then I got a call saying I missed work on Saturday. I was not aware and just like that the team leader said your employment is terminated. I was extremely shocked no warning or anything. I’ve worked there for only a month.

My day in review: some asshole stole my water. A water clearly marked with my name and initials. A water, one water out of… Gosh, I don’t know, 150 in the break room (and that’s probably on the low end). Then, I take to the lanes twice, without being asked. Because I actually care about providing customer service. No “way to show initiative!”, after bitching yesterday that I don’t show initiative. I’m surprised I wasn’t reprimanded for being “derelict in my duties”, but I’m sure that will come tomorrow.

So, I’ve only been working at Target for about… 5 and a half weeks (seems like one week of actual work, so I think that’s probably closer to the days I’ve actually worked–as opposed to calendar days. Maybe 1.5-2 weeks, not really sure. But I digress…).

No matter wich area you’re in… you’re over worked and under paid (specially in CA). Only difference between tgt and walmart is that tgt tries to have a better coulture within team member (Vibing). I hate red cards specially when customers are not a bit intested. Rewards cards/mobile enrollment (in the pharmacy) Alot of customers just want to get there Rx’s and leave. The raises are a joke too. $0.08-$0.15 a year. As a pharmacy tech I’ve worked for 3 different retail pharmacy’s….and target has the shitties pay!

1 week. That’s all it took for me to utterly despise my job at target(i refuse to capitalize it). Now, I’ve been working retail for many years and aside from some general annoyances, I’ve enjoyed it. 3 months ago I was hired as a Starbucks Barista. Let the venting commence in no particular order.

Hi, I’m John and my father has been working at the zellers for more than 14 years and when they opened up Target, they did not hired him. Since he’s 54, it has been really tough for him to get a new job (which actually consist as now more of little side jobs).
So my friend worked on a sticker to show Target that we are not happy to see them coming and treat people like this. We are plnning on sticking them everywhere. I’ll post a picture of the sticker on the comments.
This year has been a shitty one for us and I’m glad to see that we are not the only ones who dislike target. And for whatever your reason is I’m with you.

Okay so, we all know Target is the worst, more shittiest place to work.. but what are the pros/cons of your position? I’m looking at cart attendants especially, what do you love and hate?

I’ve only been working at target for a month and I was surprised they hired me because I’m pregnant they even gave me a stool to sit on if needed it they also offered me a fan I thought wow they are very accommodating. Well after about two weeks my tl came to me and said I couldn’t use the stool anymore and that the hr guy wanted o talk to me. Well my tl was very rude about how she approached me in front of my coworkers and guests I was so ashamed! When I got to the guys office and told him how rude she was he had the nerve to have an attitude with me when they say you can come to them for anything they lied every week since then its been some bs well today they called me in and said they have me on video not giving a customer a $5 gift card the customer told me I could keep it and. Told her I’d probably get in trouble for it she said she didn’t see a problem they also told me that they tracked down all my purchases using my discount card and that I wasn’t allowed to buy anything and leave it in the store which I didn’t know they don’t inform you on much they just throw you out there and you kind of learn as you go I didn’t bother explaining myself I just said ok I understand and I left . This is target in lake Charles Louisiana . I felt like they had been looking for any reason to fire me ever since I complained on my manager . A lot of sneaky things go down at target I just hope they’re watching everybody as close as they where watching me what a bunch of bullshit !
