I have never been so wrong…
Hey all! New member here. I started back in October as a backroom team member. Prior to my first day, I came across this site. After reading all the posts I thought to myself, “these people are nothing but whiney bitches. They probably just don’t want to work.” Fast forward a couple weeks. I have never been so wrong. I want to apologize to each and every one of you for my preconceived notions. This job is the worst. To start, the work load is ridiculous. On my third closing shift back in November, I got yelled at for not being fast enough during the 3:00 caf pulls. First things first, during the closing shift they only have one person in charge of the entire backroom. Second, why would someone schedule a new person to work the backroom BY THEMSELVES during the holidays? That’s just stupid! In addition to getting yelled at, after apologizing I was told,”I don’t even know what to say to you. this is literally the easiest part of your job. I mean look at me, I’m a girl and I’m going faster than you.” This was all said by my store manager. The person who is supposed to set an example for others. I was livid but I held it in. Now it’s the present, I’m still here but I got moved to Flow because they cut hours and didn’t have enough to keep me in the back. I have never worked at a place that had such a ridiculous workload. And if you don’t get enough done, they get bitchy about it. You think they would know I’m just ONE person. Now I’m in flow team and I have to deal with another annoying LOD. As much as I like shopping at Target, In my 3 months here, the phrase “Expect More, Pay Less” has a whole new meaning.

Yeah a coworker told me about this site in my first month of working and when I read the stories I thought the same thing. Now I know.
It's nice to see someone admit when they're wrong. Most people look at me like I'm insane when I describe my experience at Target as if I have to be making it up. They just wanted more more and more, while certain people were allowed to slack off because they were all buddy buddy with management or simply because they didn't expect much of them.
Lol I was dead wrong! I'm not afraid to admit it! I can now somewhat relate with all the other members of this site. Im just anxiously waiting for something better to come along. This site is my new work journal.
Yeah so many people in my area love shopping at Target and they say I must love working for them and if their hiring and I say yeah were always hiring because people are always quitting.
