HEY GUYS LETS FORM A UNION
HEY EVERYONE WHO HATES TARGETS AND ARE BEING CLOCKED ON HOW MUCH TIME YOU ARE TAKING ON BREAK. YOU DONOT NEED AND ETL OR A TL WATCHING OVER YOU AND ASKING IF YOU STILL ON YOUR BREAK. YOU DO NOT NEED AN ETL GETTING NASTY AND BELOW BECAUSE OF THERE TITLE. WE ARE NOT BELOW THEM GUYS. ITS TIME THAT WE TAKE ACTION IN OUR OWN HANDS. REMEMBER THE VIDEO THEY SHOW TO EVERY TEAM-MEMBER DURING ORIENTATION ABOUT HOW UNIONS ARE BAD. WELL GUESS WHAT FOLKS, UNIONS ARE INFACT GREAT. THEY DO ALOT FOR ALL THEY PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND THEY SHOW WE HAVE A CONTRACT THAT WILL PROTECT US. TARGET DOESNT WANT UNION BECAUSE THAN THEY CANNOT BE THE BIG BOSS THEY WANT TO BE. WHEN YOUR IN A UNION YOUR RIGHTS ARE PROTECTED THIS MEANS IF YOU WORK IN SOFT-LINE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IS ONLY SOFT-LINE AND NOTHING BUT SOFT-LINE THIS MEANS IF YOU GET A CALL TO GO OVER AND HELP OUT THE CASHIER YOU HAVE RIGHT TO DECLINE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO. THATS WHY THEY HIRE CASHIERS TO BE CASHERS. YES THERE ARE UNION DUES BUT DUES THAT DO PROTECT YOU. IT IS INFACT AN INVESTMENT ON MY END. WE NEED TO COME UP WITH AN IDEA AND CONCEPT ALL! LETS UNITE AND BECOME (RED-UNION )

They will fire/close stores before they allow a union. The problem is much bigger than getting a union. Unfortuntaty the American people have allowed Target to get too big and has too many local economies
at its mercy. That is why Target is a blight on society. They put small retailers out of business, source the majority of products from over seas to "save money" when the only they care about is ensuring the stock price continues to go up. A union is not the answer. We need a shadow economy of indepenent business owners who put Target/all chains out of business.
I heave been at Target for 11 years, and my store is at an all time low. I think they might be in violation of the law in many ways. I want to look into staring a union, but I feel alone or like I might get fired. It's really frustrating.
It's more like Americans are addicted to Target. People will buy from them even though they say they hate target for blah blah. Too bad they can't be like the Canadians and drive target out of business. We kicked them out in just 2 years running back to the usa with their tails behind their legs. The only way to drive target out of business is have people boycott them enmass like Canada did. We boycotted them till they left tehe.
on the surface sounds like a good idea. Except that so many people depend on target to support their family. Target and other chains have been very successful in putting the competition out of business. We have a shortage of well paying jobs.
there is walmart and costco. And plenty of grocers. Safeway comes to mind. Min wage has caught up with their starting wage. It used to be $10 an hour at safeway. And everyone else was paying half that. Farmers markets. Growing your own vegetables
YES the evil horrible oppressors of people and workers have left north of 49 party party party...........I still can't believe I quit anot her job with a different company because we were all promised the moon and of course we never got it. STUPID me for believing a word these cult Minnesotans said to us. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
wb, you think tarshit packed up and left because most of Canada raised the min wage across the board? Ontario raised theirs by 75 cents from 10.25 to 11.00. lol Tarshit was probably like we're paying you 10.25 an hour. No. A 75 cent forced increase? no way!!! We'll declare bankruptcy and run away! lol
Here's the thing.... unions have good aspects and bad aspects. You are only allowed to work in the area you are hired in. That means when there is a call out in softlines only softlines people can be called in. If you want to pick up extra hours you can only pick up hours in your department. You think management doesn't help our now? With a union they absolutely cannot help you. Like I said there is good and bad with a union, but with a company like target it's more bad. They do everything based on how long you are with the company, meaning that team member that sucks and has been with the company 10 years will get everything they wish for before you no matter how hard you work. Make sure you research unions before you make that decision because once you sign up you can't go back!
That's a possibility that may be one of the issues that "broke the camels back"

Metro van here. There's an entire page on wiki saying how much Canada has raised their min wage across the country. It's from 10 cents to 75 cents with ontario being the highest. If it is one of the issues,I think walmart may have figured out how to screw target over once and for all and they're acting on it. And now target is changing it's tune so as to not look bad to walmart. Looking at it one way, target's defeat in Canada proved to Walmart it can pay much higher wages than tarshit and still screw tarshit over.
