After all this time signing up for Target’s crappy circle, they went and “made it better” by 1) getting rid of the lousy 1% back for non Red Card holders, 2) Auto enrolling circle members into Shipt WITHOUT permission, & 3) removing the ability to enter missed purchases. Before this unwanted & unnecessary “overhaul”, you could either scan a receipt or enter it manually on the app. Now, ALL attempts to scan receipts throw up an error and manual entry has been removed from the app AND the website. Yet the bozos in charge of said site STILL HAVEN’T updated the help section to reflect these changes since it STILL says to either scan or manually enter receipts for missing purchases. So basically now, if you forget to enter your phone number or if someone else in your family doesn’t give the number, you’re out of luck. š”

There was an update for their already crap app earlier today (at least it was for me–apparently it had been out for a couple days for others), which was slow as molasses after I signed in (plus I had to enter my searches SEVERAL TIMES for it to give any results at all), that had added a duplicate app icon to many users’ phones, mine included.
I wasn’t aware of this issue so I was lead to believe that the problem was with my phone instead of the app and was on the verge of doing a factory reset since I couldn’t figure out as to why this happened (I’ve never had any Play Store app updates put a duplicate icon on my devices before) or to get rid of it.
So annoyed that yet again another greedy app developer had yet again rushed out an buggy app update without properly and thoroughly testing it! ????
I’m just glad that they didn’t drag their feet and pushed out another update the same day that fixed the icon issue which saved me from erasing my phone.

a few weeks before writing this post, a customer at 6:30 pm on a Saturday wrote a fake report on me saying that I āmade them uncomfortableā and gave them a bad experience. I donāt know if this customer is a male or female one, but I swear that I didnāt do anything to hurt or make this person uncomfortable in any way. Honestly, for the past month Iāve been extremely careful with how Iāve handled customers and emphasized greetings, small talk, and thanking customers when they leave. Iāve been working there for almost a year and have already signed one corrective action for getting in arguments with customers and making scanning mistakes some items.. but this was in April so around 4 months ago and I have been better at my job since then.

If you live in Australia, you’re safe.Ā Despite the identical logo, Target US and Target AU are two completely separate companies.
With that out of the way, allow meā¦ ahem.Ā Once upon a time, we were shopping at Target as usual.Ā Everything was fine until we checked at the self-checkout.Ā I was really young, so I didn’t know any better, but I was scanning things and putting them back in the cart.Ā We then quickly lost track of what we scanned and just left.Ā We thought we scanned everything until…Ā BEEP!Ā BEEP!Ā BEEP!Ā Target’s alarms went off, and they only let us take half of the stuff we had in our cart.Ā And no, we didn’t scan half of the items in our cart, we scanned almost everything.Ā We were then forced off their property for 2 years or so.
GO TEAM WWW.IHATETARGET.NET!!!Ā (the “www” standing for Walmart, Walmart, Walmart!)

After training at two separate locations it became immediately clear that Target runs a LEAN operational strategy (using the least amount of employees needed & keep those employees just below breaking point everyday).Ā Target management will explain this away as a “live up to the challenge” moment but in reality, it is a consistent case of always filling in and falling behind.

I’m a guest advocate and my store is basically not doing anything. I got yelled at by my team lead to clean my belt bc of COVID, and all she gave me was the generic spray. No disinfectant or anything. In fact, my whole shift, my belt and area never gets disinfected ONCE.
People are getting all up in my face and GSTLs are not helpful when people are literally up on top of me. We’re seriously supposed to be social distancing and I’m in one of the most infected states. Just putting stickers on the floor doesn’t do anything.
There’s guests just walking around the store and coming in large groups. I’m sorry, but now is not the time to buy a bikini or foundation.
My store has also not given masks or gloves to me. Only to the people doing the “cleaning” shifts, who aren’t even rly cleaning anyway.

The Target store I worked for got new management in this last year.. and they are all lazy. We got a new SD recently and she turned out to not only be the laziest most useless human but also a complete bitch. They all complain and bitch about team members not getting things done but they sit in the office all day talking bad about team members instead of helping or trying to make changes.

I have the worst ETL HR in the world. Read on and I think you’ll agree!
Let’s call her Helga.
Helga and I started in our new positions on the same day. I’m the HR TM. I’m not actually new to the position, just to this store. I took a brief hiatus from Tarshit (why did I go back???) and did GM at my new store until the old HR TM left and I applied for her job and got it.
So Helga and I start on the same day. A fresh new start, right? I’m sure this new ETL HR will be just as awesome as my old HR TL and everything will go swimmingly, right?
Wrong!!!

Target sucks. FUCK them. But happy anniversary to this website! 10 years now we’ve been hating on the big box of doom. Reading the stories on this site, and how common the bullshit is, amazes me that those cunts are still in business.
Hey Tarshit, Fuck You!

I started writing stories about my bad experiences at Target. I thought it may be funny to share some of them here. If this isn’t allowed please delete.
The Price Change Lady
As we all know at Target cashiers or “checkout advocates” as they’re now called are given the authority to override price changes that are within $20. That is as long as they are deemed reasonable. As you can imagine this leads to some people abusing the system. But the person I will describe here took it to an entirely different level. So gather round folks and grab some popcorn as I regale you all with a tale. A tale of someone’s who’s cheapness is matched only by her ratchetness.
