“We’ll talk later.”- seeking the TL position but brushed off.
This isn’t necessarily a rant on unfair practices, but more me wanting to voice a concern of mine. Ever since I graduated with a Bachelor’s in business management, I began seeking entry level management positions. Naturally, I made the reasonable decision to ask my ETL about potential to move up from a team member to team leader.
I had told him that I wish to learn and grow with Target on several occasions over the course of the spring and the summer.
The ETL keeps pushing it aside and when I follow up, he’ll just rinse and repeat. Is there something I am missing or is it just the fear of taking a powerhouse worker out of the hands-on department?

Upward mobility isn't a thing there. Apply with other companies before you quit tarshit, and you'll move in a better direction.
The best way to get a management positon at target is to quit and then apply as an outsider then they'll take you on.
You don't move up. Best you can hope for with Tarshit is diagonal movement to a dead end position. Get a better job and just stop showing up. If you want to be really nasty keep calling off and take a vacation starting on the day you will stop going to that shithole.
