My store just hired a bunch (like 20-25) new people. Just when we were finally getting hours. The result my hours have been cut in half. This is without a doubt the worse place i have ever worked. The business model is built on treating people like disposable . This is a soul crushing job with no positive qualities.

I have bad health of cancer that causes me anemia which is slowness of blood flow through the body. The cancer is in my brain so I'm exhausted a lot, so they reduced my hours. It helps but I'd like to make more money. In your case I suppose your normal like so yeah they are screwing you over. Target is crap, when I wanted short hours I got 8 and a half hour shifts everyday for 5 days, 40 hours a week, oh and Target does something illegal, they don't allow overtime, if you get overtime at Target, no overtime pay, overtime is pay and a half, but Target won't pay time and a half like the law entitles you to. Target just adds those extra minutes to your next paycheck at regular hourly pay. Target is a bitch, they do a lot of illegal things and get away with it. The biggest is not paying overtime time and a half pay.
That's how they do it.
"Oh here's your review. Here's your raise . let's cut his hours and hire newbies and our minimum." Fuck em. I used to work with a purpose, but now seeing how they constantly cut hours while increasing the workloads and expecting us to keep up with it, while also scheduling our closing team from 7-12. Fuck that I drag ass on purpose waiting to get fired. But my boss won't fire me because he doesn't wanna pay unemployment. Fuck this corporation.
