Target Mobile – stories from the inside
They’re jealous because we’re an oasis of calm in their shitstorm. They need us because we’re the only people actually given enough time to do anything positive for guest experience. And they hate us because we make far more than the team members and most of the TLs.
We are Target Mobile. We are just as sick of Target’s bullshit as our friends in red. And the hatred from within Target is even worse.
LOD? More like lol. Maybe half can print a rain check without help. Just getting pens and rubber bands takes weeks. (Same with ink and paper) Some TLs refer to us as T-Mobile. And God forbid I need someone to help with calming down an angry guest.
Twenty minutes after the call they’ll show up, pretend to listen and then deliver the same canned speech about how mobile and Target are different and they can’t do anything. While this happens, echoes of the store manager telling us at huddle to do everything for the guest bounce through my head.
I make guests happy. It’s what I do and I don’t mind because when I step inside Target I leave my ego outside. It’s just about the guests. Because I get paid fairly and have regular hours and am respected by my management when it comes to schedule changes, it works.
Target should try that.
