Target is not Fast, Fun, and Friendly!
Last year I left my job at Target (over 2 yrs.). The management didn’t know how to run the store properly. I worked in the Starbucks franchise inside the Target store in Cherry Hill, NJ. We lost 2 baristas in the span of 2 months. This left us with 1 team lead and 3 part-time baristas to work 7:30am to 9:30pm Monday thru Saturday and 7:30am to 8:30pm on Sundays. One part time person had extremely limited hours ( No new employees were hired for the positions until 4 months later). They had me working hours alone at night giving me no help when I called for it. WITH NO TRAINING TO DO SO, they gave me new people to train. I had reported this to my supervisor, human resources manager, and the store manager and no action was taken. I was just told to do my best. I walked into the store one morning, handed in my uniforms to a LOD and explained to her why I was resigning. Target claims that I was a no call no show for the 5 days after I quit. After waiting almost 3 months I am currently still awaiting an answer from an appeal for unemployment I made against Targets response to me filling. This is not acceptable behavior for a company, especially one that claims to be FAST, FUN, AND FRIENDLY!

Yeah, well welcome to the club of about a billion people who hate Target. 🙂 I never got any help, either, working at that shit hole. I was "promoted" to Zone Manager...which meant, "You're still just a low-life sales associate, but since you're the only person who knows jack shit about Apparel here, you're leading the team. Oh, and here's a list of a million fucking projects to do. Have fun". Then my bosses would spend most of the night in their offices, or in receiving, either playing with each other's tingly bits or bullshitting about video games. Ah, yes...so glad I quit!!! I got a job 5 days later, making 4 times as much as what I made at Target. Fucking waste of time, unless you're a college kid looking for some pocket money to buy beer with. GAY GAY GAY. I warn everyone I know not to ever apply at Target. It's like a modern-day version of Auschwitz. 🙂
Same exact thing just happened to me, i quit 2 days ago. Over worked & underpaid, I did all of my leads duties and she got paid for it, she doesn't even know how to make the drinks...I was also working more hours than her, hope they are all screwed. I will never support anything target ever again. Bunch of heartless people who do little to nothing to get by while all of us low lifes do the dirty work.
