Over it!!!

I have been at target for almost 2 years and like many loved it….at first. I went from a part time position and was promoted within my first year. I’m normally ok with the unnecessary things target does. But now they have eliminated my position and placed me in softlines which is like retail hell. Not only that but I’ve gone from working early mornings (6am) and being out no later than 2:30 to coming in at 8 and 9 asks leaving in the evenings. I am crushed because this happened so fast. I was Literally told this last week and next week is the big change. I’m also not going to be under my current TL which is terrible because the girl over softlines is not the brightest crayon in the box.

I have dedicated a lot of time into target and they give me a 30 cent raise and take away my position?. They are so concerned with the crybaby customers oops guest that they disregard the care for employees. Because of this new change and lack of hours we had 5 people leave within a week and many on the same day. Our store is not a Super Target, it’s small so 5 people is a lot. I tried to wait it out because I am returning to school and my previous schedule worked perfectly but now it’s not and school is way more important than some week job that’s suppose to be full time yet i’m averaging like 22 hours a week.

This place is good for like short burst but nothing long term. I adore my current ETL and TL but these changes are going to cause this store to go down
