Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

Getting Fisted by myTime Scheduling.

I think it’s safe to say that we all hate the myTime scheduling, and for a wide variety of reasons. For myself, it’s all about not getting enough hours in my primary work center. I’ve been with Target for a number of years, and the past few years I’ve been my store’s signing specialist. Pardon me, signing team member, ever since the company has gotten rid of the specialist title.

With the myTime scheduling, my schedule is strictly dictated by headquarters time estimates, which are rarely accurate. If they say it should only take me 10 hours to do my job in a given week, then that’s all I get. My TL will then fill the rest of my schedule by putting me in a different work center, typically on Planogram. What headquarters fails to take into account are all the hours I need to put up signing, displays, and fixtures that we never received for a set or initially arrived damaged. Nor do they take into account the time needed to audit recent pog sets that are signing/display heavy like Toys, Cosmetics, Seasonal, etc. Add to that the fact that I do all the supply ordering for the entire Logistics process (signing, plano, backroom, in stocks, price change, receiving, flow, and so on),I simply can’t keep up with everything that needs to be done. It wouldn’t be so bad if my store leaders would at least empathize a bit, but they’re all perfectly indifferent.

Stupid myTime.
