Target’s Watching You
Did anyone else have their ETL’s or TL’s spy on the cashiers?
I couldn’t make this sh*t up. As a GSA, I’d literally get called up to the offices (ours over-looked our front-end cashier team). And low and behold, an ETL or TL would be sitting in a dark office, call you in – and ask you what’s going on…spying on the cashiers as if they were Shia LaBeouf in, “Disturbia.” They’d try and get you to rat out which cashiers aren’t asking. I had one TL that thought he ran the store and would do this 3-4 times a week. How is this a team? This is a huge sense of distrust…and really effing creepy.

Yes! That happens in my store. The GSTLS have a paper where they are suppose to check off what they observe each cashier doing. They walk around pretending to be doing reshop/hangers but they are really just eavesdropping on the cashiers and yes i have been called into the office and reprimanded for not telling guests about the survey. Worst job ever.
AAWWW!!! ETL, LOD and TL are afraid of there monthly/yearly commission bonuses are being threatened? How about them going to the register and do what all the cashier are doing. I remember a lot of time when the ETL, LOD, and TL are force to be on the register for lack of worker. They themselves dont ask at all. So, they can cry me a river. i said this before, why should i give them commission of MINE! hardwork. It doesn't make sense to me. If management wants the redcards.... then they going work for them. " no free rides" is what i always say. Screw Tarshit!
Target is your class communist country, but in there stores. There all like we make more money from our crownie sales people and cashiers while we all do nothing but sit all day and do nothing but type out sales reports for the CEO. Target is a classic case of communism for sure.
They do and I wouldn't be surprised if they have the cashier next to you listen in on you either. My gstl would stand next to me and I looked at her and said do you need anything? She shook her head and smiled and then the customers would come to be ringed up and she would go on about the red cards and discounts like a bee on speed and then afterwards tell me I have to talk like her, even though I was never given the chance to do so and I would be embarrassed to act like that even if she wasn't there, my personality is so not smiley bubble head. Then I would notice her standing with the cashier next to my lane just hanging out and later on she would tell me how she heard me trying to sell a red card and it was a good approach, this happened several times. You are also watched on all the cameras in the store too. The place is quite creepy.
