Fired for being innocent
Well people. It just happened. I was fired and I am innocent. So come around a read my story.
One specific day, I had a cashier shift. I hate it very much because it feels like I am on acid. Anyway, I like to make jokes with the guest, having fun with it and making them smile. One specefic guest is in my lane and asks me if the survey is real? To remind you, the survey is that last part on the receipt where you have a chance to win a $1500 gift card. I said to the guest, ‘Honestly, I’m not so certain, but I do remember overhearing that someone did win it. They leave. I turn around to ask a quick question to my coworker and say, ‘Are the surveys real?’ I had all intentions to ask a return to my job. These two guest were the rudest people in the line. The female told me in a rude manner, ‘can you just ring me up?’ I do my job.
She doesn’t like the way I was bagging so she says, ‘I guess I have to do your job!’ I was baffled by this. The guest behind them says, ‘Leave him alone. He is having a bad day.’ the lady says, ‘If that’s the case, he shouldn’t take it out on us.’ two problems with this: why is a guest telling me I’m having a bad day, and why are these guest having a problem with me. I get to find out that the guest before her, she claims that I was rude (which I’m wasn’t). I remember saying, ‘I’m saying you feel this way. I was not being rude. If you like, I can get my supervisor over.’ she then says that she can do it on the survey. They walk. Here is where my memory fades.
She comes back up to me saying that I called her a bitch. I didn’t (like I said, I don’t remember. Now I am heated) she wants my supervisor now.
Later on in the week I had to work back as a cashier. I work for two hours and I got a red card and got someone to get to do the survey. I get called into the office. Basically I tell them the same story I am telling you right now. Since it falls under disorderly conduct, I was fired. Thus ends the story.
Me: one of the best workers in target. The cart attendent who busted his ass off, is fired over bullshit stuff that I did not do or say.

Look at it this way: you're FREEEEE.
customers will always try to tell lies about you. Had a customer who got mad I was too fast, so i went super super slow and put things down super slowly. And put them in the other belt. Since I was being extremely polite, he couldn't complain. The ticket is to be so polite it's nearly insulting but they can't complain because you weren't rude but was sugarly nice it was sickening.
Since target bags suck. i would have just dumped all the items out. And put couple of items per bag, And then just dumped her with tons of bags. Hey you are being nice giving her so many bags! Lots of other places charge 5 cents for bags!
Ah yes the old be-an-ass-while-being-super-nice. The look on their face when they leave the check-out line is so priceless. Actually, it's kind of like intentionally harassing them about the REDcard just to annoy them in that you can't really get in trouble over it.
