Drunken times
This was last on Black Friday. Probably one of the worst times to work at that crap job that I have in Target. I was pissed off that I had to work on that day.
My girlfriend and I had a brilliant idea of going to work drunk. Well….. Just me. She didn’t work there. So about half an hour before I started my shift. I downed about a 3 cups of Jack Daniels and had my girl drive me to work. The alcohol didn’t hit me until I got to the door. At that point I knew I was out of it. The only thing I could focus on is not falling over or pissing off the guests. One of my coworkers asked if I was alright. I told him I was fine. Although I was leaning on the electronics’s cash register when I said that. I’m pretty sure he didn’t believed me.
At one point, a very ugly looking gentleman wanted to by a Ipad. I was working the register, and despite my drunken state, I could tell he was using an counterfeit credit card. I told the guest, “you can’t use that card.”
“Why not?”
“Cause that is a fake credit card,”
Stunned by my remarks, he scurries off the next department. About a minute later, TPS notices the Ipad next to my feet. He asks “Why is that Ipad there?”
I point to the ugly gentleman and a the top of my lungs say “That guy over there was trying to buy it with a fake credit card!” Everybody turns and looks at him. After noticing that he has now become the center of attention. He pretty much ran out of the store.
Looking back, it probably wasn’t a good idea. I thought I would’ve gotten fired that day. But nobody cared. I would like to say more, but the booze wore off after about an hour. So nothing happened.

I learned over time that Target just doesn't give a good fuck about shit that other business would and goes apeshit over shit that doesn't matter. Did anybody catch that you were drunk after a while?
As for working on a Black Friday? Never again.
Yeah. My co-worker who I closed with that night. But he didn't seem to care. We laugh about it every so often.
Has Target announced their Black Friday hours yet?
Don't be too surprised if it's midnight again. Or....11:45 PM Thanksgiving evening.

I fucking hated being forced to work Black Frid..excuse me "Black Thursday" last year. From what I hear a lot of department stores are planning to open earlier on Thanksgiving than at 10 PM or midnight. Evil consumerism at it's best.
Last year working Black Friday was mandatory -- I was just not going to show up if they gave me a midnight shift. (I ended up getting a 2:30 PM.)
