Target Multi-Cultural Tips

If you have not heard already, Target is being sued in the state of California for a  flyer released called “Multi-Cultural Tips.” The message was meant to teach LODs how to better manage Hispanic employees and not stereotype them. The ironic thing….the document stereotypes Hispanics.

Here is some of the “suggestions”:

a. Food: not everyone eats tacos and burritos;

b. Music: not everyone dances to salsa;

c. Dress: not everyone wears a sombrero;

d. Mexicans (lower education level, some may be undocumented);

e. Cubans (Political refugees, legal status, higher education level);

f. They may say ‘OK, OK’ and pretend to understand, when they do not, just to save face.

 

Huffington Post is doing a story on discrimination at Target.

Let’s blow the whistle on these racist bastards!

    In 2007 Target had to shell out 510,000 to 4 African American women who has degrees are who were all denied employment. Whether it means donating 150,000 To Tom Enner(think that's his name) or finally deciding to clearance all of Paula Deans merchandise AFTER Walmart dropped her to refusing to sell Frank Oceans cd and now this current lawsuit I believe that Target is somehow in a state of trance or lost in the blur amongst the black/white/hispanic/gay complex. SMH
