Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

Target is ungrateful :)

I’m 19, from WNY and I work at one of the targets in the area. Not only do they pile tasks on top of tasks I never get a thank you for all the shit I do. I can knock out a flat and three U boats, zone and do reshop and I never get a thank you. Never, people at my location call off multiple times a week and I’ve called off three times this month. I suffer from bipolar disorder and anxiety and I’ve been super sick with the flu. I got shit for calling off yesterday when I was puking my brains out. They are not cooperative or work with your schedule, I have a flexible schedule but my availability is not recognized at all so they schedule me whenever and as much as they want to. Don’t apply to target unless you want to be drained of life and become a zombie. They will run you down to the ground until you are absolutely nothing but aching bones and sore muscles. They are a ungrateful company with shitty guest service team leads who treat me like an idiot, I’ve been working here for over a year and I still get treated like a kid. I’m almost an adult and I do more work than the majority of these people. The store manager is the only decent person and if he wasn’t manager I don’t think I would work here anymore. People say target is a great place to work at but truly it’s just a ugly company with a mask on.

    "shitty guest service team leads". Considering I WAS one and have had issues with people saying the same thing im gonna address it. Team Leads are directly connected to management and talked to about every week about their performance, and if were not doing well were threatened with getting fired. It was MY job to get you guys to do YOUR job which was simply grabbing items for the guests on the phone, coming up to ring if needed due to Front of Store being super low staffed, and getting your go-backs from guest service which could literally take 5 minutes depending on what department you are in and or if you come the first time we call you up rather than the 5th. Other than that, Front of Store TLs dont need to talk to anybody else. This wasn't meant to be rude or anything. just letting you now what we have to go through, and maybe explain why the team lead up front "treats you like an idiot".
