NO CALL/NO SHOW???

I’m one of those people that only misses work if I’m unable to function due to being sick. Otherwise I am there and always on time for my shifts. I was spoken to a while ago that I had a no call/no show. I’ve never had one of those before. I got a warning and it made me upset because I would never not call. The day that I got the no call no show for was on a day that I was sick. I called my store about two hours before my shift started and spoke to the LOD and she told me to feel better, so I was very confused when I got warned the other day. Has anyone else had this happen?? If so, how was it resolved?

This is not surprising Target fails at communication. However this should be easily resolved! Simply tell them what happened! Tell them you called in 2-hours prior and told the LOD. All they would need to do is talk to that LOD to understand it was another Target communication error. I absolutely wouldn't sign anything until after the LOD was questioned about what happened. If the LOD lies(very common) or says they do not remember this happening take out your cell phone and show them the call history and call them on this BS. Either way you have a strong case to refute that you did not call in. DON'T BE CONFUSED! STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Not enough employees have the mental strength to stand up for themselves or the knowledge. You have rights. Don't let ignorant brainwashed people intimidate you. Get informed and rock their world. However, be careful of misinformation. There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding employment that people quote as fact when it's not. Read up on the federal laws then move to your state. Honestly everyone should take a work course on their rights before taking employment anywhere. If you hear something from another coworker about your rights FACT CHECK! Document! Document! Document! It's the only way you can beat ignorant managers and corrupt companies.

Also read your employee handbook inside and out. If the rule and process is not written down you can easily win. Your work place has to be consistent across the board with all employees. If they punish an employee one way everyone else needs to be punished the same. They can't cherry pick. The Target I worked at CHERRY PICKED they would punished certain people for no call no shows who they did not like and others who they liked were allowed to do it at least once a month.

I've got a no call no show on the day I requested off and it was approved. I went to NY for vacation and I was supposed to take a trip back on Monday. Instead they put me on the schedule for Monday the day after Easter Sunday. I guess Target is expecting me to travel back on Easter Sunday instead of Monday to come back to work. I guess I can't spend time with my love ones on Easter.
