Modernization
So I was told my store and district was one of the few going through this test so this might spread elsewhere. If you work Flow team and Pog team you might want to read. Both teams are being removed. The team members on both teams are being moved to sales floor. Here’s the kicker. Those former team members Now will be coming in at 6 and 8 am depending on your department. You will be in charge of working freight doing resets and signinging. Everything now on one person. Tasks like this are gonna be impossible for large departments like HBA and Domestics. On top of that you are now at the mercy of the ETL of the department you’re going to. They will write your schedule not the logistics ETL. And it’s bad because everyone on my team that went to headlines is be screwed over by the bitch of an ETL because she’s allocating our hours to her team and not us moving into her department. If you work for either of these teams search for immediate employment now. Otherwise it’s gonna get really bad. Also if you are on truck unload I urge you the most leave now. The team directly responsible for unloading the truck is not allowed to help others aka you won’t be getting more then 5 hours

They're cutting most of the team members down to so few hours at my store that almost the entire hardlines department has quit. They keep going like this they're going to fail as a business. You can't run a store with all leaders. Especially since they do the least amount of work. I wonder if this is happening as a result of the pay being bumped up to $15hr in 2020. Maybe this is what they're doing to offset the cost of labor.
Many stores are cutting back staff. When I go to Best Buy there isn’t even a cashier there unless customers come by to checkout and then someone comes over or customer service rings them up, times have changed. I definitely believe the pay increase has caused this, it appears to have steadily gotten worse since the $9? an hour raise a few years back.
I am happy to say that I am in the hiring process to enter Amazon. So soon I’ll be leaving!!!
I do not know much about the flow team. I'm not going to put anything down to constructively criticize that area. It seems that Target is getting worse as you go. The minimum wage for Target now is $11 an hour. They raise me up to that due to the minimum wage increase. I felt that was an insult because I put almost 15 years into the company and they are giving me the same wage as the people who are just starting. I was like forget this, I'm quitting. I quit for a few reasons. I told people it was because of my foot not getting better due to my diabetes. I just don't want to get anyone in trouble if I tell them the real main reason.
I hate this so much bc now closing salesfloor teams are getting shit hours. have a 30 hour availability and only got 10 last week like wtf
