Was Lied To About Getting a Raise

So, many months ago in May, a girl who worked in Food Ave quit. As I was already trained there, the TL over there offered me the opening, saying I would get a 25 cent raise for it. I was happy and agreed, because hey, that combined with the 16 cent raise I got earlier in the year would have actually made a slight difference.

So I worked in Food Ave on and off for the next month. The ETL-HR told me I would get my raise when half of my shifts were moved to Food Ave. Okay, fair.

So finally it is to the point that I have more Food Ave shifts than cashier shifts. I ask my ETL about the raise, to which she says “oh, we have to key you in and decide whether or not you are made permanent. Then you will get your raise.”

Fast forward a month. I check the schedule to see every single one of my food ave shifts are gone. When I asked her about it, she told me that my availability was not a fit for food ave. This is utter bs, because there is a guy with much more limited availability who they let work there.

The reason for this? There is this woman who worked there who absolutely hated me because of my race, but that’s for another post.

The fake ass bitch went on to butter my ass, tell me how great I was for helping, blah blah blah. Just like always. They offer you something, then give you a million lame excuses as to why they can’t later.
