Let’s rally around Black Friday….
So we all know it’s gonna be hell. BUT, to any long-term cashiers out there, we’d like your advice for the Black Friday/Thanksgiving crap. Give us advice. Don’t want to hear your petty problems. You made it this far, so don’t reply to this if it’s not helpful…
For example…deals, how to deal with the guest that wants everything for free, the “I didn’t know I needed cartwheel,”, the I’m spending $500 but don’t want to sign up for a red card.” Our favorite TL that underminds our initial “no.”
Advice for the cashiers…Help us!!

Why all the hate? You're the one calling me a moron, while using my site. I've never had the displeasure of working for tarshit. I'm not going to bother blocking you over that, but don't be such a whiny little defensive cunt about it either.
Yeah but unfortunately some people need this job to get by. Not everyone's living conditions are great. I need a paycheck to continue coming in for my family's survival. This week half the store either got fired or quit. I have worked 6 days in a row and each of those shifts where closing so we ended up staying 2-3am everyday trying to put the store back together. 10+ hr shifts. When I started not feeling good I asked to go home after the store had closed and my LOD looked me in the face and said everyone doesn't feel good get over it. I was suppose to work today but my body has legitimately stopped working. So now I feel like I'm going to get fired for calling in 1 day this week like a few people have gotten fired over that. So yeah advice would be helpful considering I just pushed myself to where I almost ended up in the hospital. I'm surprised I didn't faint yesterday at the cash register. There were times I was holding onto the side trying to not fall over but they wouldn't let me go home. But if your not perfect or an ass kisser they don't like you. I think the only reason I'm not getting fired is because half the store is gone and we are very understaff.
So you have a site about hating, have never worked a day in your life at Target, and you resort to name calling. What a wonderful, beneficial person you are! But my guess is that your work life, whatever that entails, is probably negative as well. If you enjoy living your life that way, then fine. Others on this site just want to vent and/or see if their situation has been covered before. If that's not the point of this site, then what is?

Nothing horrible happens, not for me. So the people go but this said 50% off, this said buy 1 get 1 free, red card, cartwheel why didn't that come off? I just go ok I can change anything below $10 as that's our limit, but any more and it's a oh, well ok, that requires a leader to allow anymore off on any deals. So yeah, black Friday passed and it was easy as there was so much but this half off and that and this, just blink light to get leader and done. They always make final decisions on stuff anyway, so no worries.
Thanks! I also had an OK experience, other than only having 8 hours between shifts from Thurs to Fri.
