Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

In backroom, apparently 1 employee = 3 employee’s

One day I was scheduled by myself to do half of the 2 o’clock pulls, the 3, 4, and 5. I called the LOD’s to come help me because there was absolutely NO way i’d get them all done on time, seeing it was just me. First time I radioed them, no answer. Second time, no answer. Finally, the third time an LOD answers. So an LOD responded that they’d have somebody helping me as soon as possible. 45 minutes later somebody comes, but not to help. Only to tell me that im screwing everything up because im not going fast enough. I told him that I had already talked to an LOD and they were gonna get help, but some how it was all still completely my fault. I just about kicked him in the balls and walked out. I’ve only worked here a month and a half, and already this is the worst job I have ever had. Goodbye, Target. I’m not wasting any more time.

It's the same at my store, too. Somehow the midday and closer are expected to get all of the CAF pulls done themselves regardless of their size or things like equipment malfunction/failure, guest calls, flexible fulfillment, etc. And for the morning crew our deadlines have stayed exactly the same regardless of how many people we have or how big our workload is (ex. the OFCE autofill alone takes over an hour to pull yet we're supposed to have it done in 20 minutes. Not possible).

I know it doesn't matter since you walked out, which is awesome, but for anyone else having trouble the best thing I've found is to just leave everything on the floor until all of the batches are pulled and then pick it up afterwards. As long as they're out of the PDT the "leadership" doesn't care (although I know some "leaders" will get you on "tripping hazards" even if you're the only one back there). Plus you can sort by department and help the CAF pusher out a bit if you so choose.

I would have likely told him/her to do the shit themselves. Nothing pisses me off more than getting no help, and having someone bitch at you for not being superman. This happens at every job.

Just be like our store and don't even do the pulls. Let it roll into overnight. Because we like when our pulls are 1400+ on a Wednesday night plus do the truck. And then still get called lazy pieces of shits by day side lol.

know this feeling too well; at my shit store I'm the only one, other than the head receiving person that knows how to do do receiving. Every day I have to pull the weight of two mother fuckers... it sucks!

Ive been told this shit when i was in the backroom as well. Working at 2am doing pulls with having to train people is difficult. BTW i havent been in that hell hole long enough to train as I never got any training.
