Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

Even though I no longer work for Target…FUCK YOU, Target!!!

Update on my last post:

I’m still unemployed and looking for a job and while it is very frustrating, I have never been happier about a decision in my life. However, I got interviewed at Walgreens yesterday and guess what the fuck popped up on my interview process?!?! Those fuckers at Target put the I was fucking terminated even though I FUCKING quit!!!! You can imagine how fucking awkward it was for me when my interviewer asked me why I got terminated from Target. I asked her, what do you mean terminated? She said, Target is saying your got fired. I told her, I’m so confused because I quit there, I even turned in a two weeks notice letter and I officially signed a two weeks notice form for them. She looked so fucking confused and I am still fucking furious!!!! I fucking hate you Target management, fuck you and fuck your shit!!!! The fucking shit that you did to me, not only while being an employee but after should be ILLEGAL and I wish I had the money to take you the FUCK down!!! But at the same time, I’m glad I do not have the money because I would feel bad for the people that would be jobless. When I used to just be a guest at fucking Tarshit, I thought the store was pretty fucking cool and I never thought I would hate this store as much as a fucking hate it now!!! I feel bad for the regular team members that have to stay because they feel like they have no where else to turn to. Is there anyway I can fix this problem I am having now because I do not want it to come up in every single damn interview I have. I am so fucking mad at them; this is fucking bullshit!! On the upside, I no longer have to deal with those fucking shitty ass douche bag ASSHOLES anymore and that makes me FUCKING HAPPY :)!!!!!!

I'm not sure there's anything you can do legally beyond a possible defamation claim, but sadly your best bet is most likely going to be confronting HR at your former store.

Also, see if you can find a copy of your two-week notice as proof.

Alright, I'm not sure I want to do that...even the thought if me having to go back to my store is draining.

I wonder if you would still be able to get through to the HR 1-800 number without being a current employee, I know they ask for your employee # but maybe they would be able to correct your information. I would just explain to any other interviews that it was an error on Target's part and you are trying to get it corrected. I am not surprised in the least that Target would do something like this to you. It either was an honest mistake that someone at HQ was too incompetent, lazy, or careless to enter the correct info or HR at your own store did it out of spite. There are some pretty bitchy HR managers and if they were pissed at you for any reason they would totally do something like that to screw you over. I fucking hate Target too. I have worked there more years than I care to admit and have been trying desperately to get out but have had no luck getting a new job. Best of luck to you!

I don't know, I might. I have to find where I left the pamphlet with their number.

apply without using them as a reference. If by any chance a local grocer or something is having a on site job fair with on site interview, try asking about it what if you don't have your resume on you?

You shouldn't have to leave Targhay off your ref list because it's their fault! A copy of your notice presented to potential employer should do the trick. Also, I've been fired for an idiotic reason and I simply explained honestly what happened in the interview.* Interviewer's response? "That's ridiculous." I was then hired. If you interview with someone who recognizes retail drama and sees your value, you've found a good company to work for.
