Chances of getting cross trained

My 90 day eval is coming up next week I’m so nervous. I dealt with a rude customer a while ago which really upset me and they knew that…afraid they won’t wanna keep me around.I’m a cashier and I’ve managed to get 5 red cards in the course of 3 months. I’m not exactly sure what my conversion is. Anyways, what do I expect at a 90 day evaluation? I’m so nervous! I really wanna be cross trained! How can I achieve that?!

At Target it's all about first impressions. Chances are they have made their mind up about you a long time ago.

I was hired as an Electronics team member, but management thought I was too quiet and moved me to cashier after only a month on the job.

About two miserable weeks into being a cashier, I asked to be moved to sales floor because I thought that is where my skills were best suited for.

They started giving me one, maybe two, hard lines shifts per week. I had a Senior TL come up to me an said how much she loved having me on the sales floor and would do what she could to get me back on to full time hard lines.

5 months passed and I was still a cashier. They even hired 3 new regular team members for hard lines.

I had to wait until the ETL-Hardlines quit before I finally was moved back.

The moral of this story? You can never trust management. Even if one person doesn't like you, they will try to make your life miserable and hold you back.

Why don't you know what your conversions are? Aren't they posted weekly? Ask tsc where they are posted in your store. Ask them how to read the graph/list if you don't know how.
Hasn't your redcard mentor spoken to you to let you know how you are doing?

How many cards does your store average a day?

For me I told my GSTL, ETL, and STL that basically everyday I come to work I dread being here because I am stuck standing in one spot ( the cash register) for almost 8 hours a day. I want to do other things and be an asset in other areas. A couple of weeks later I check the schedule and I have photo lab training, Food Ave, and crowd control training. If you are a good worker, they will do everything they can to make you happy so you can stay

Who should I talk to about be trained somewhere else? Also, do the conversions and speed score matter in order to be cross trained?
