AVAILABILITY REQUEST!!!
I have a question!!! When trying to change availability I have been told that I HAVE to be available and open to close! Is every store like this or is it just mine? Or is this an issue I need to take up with the corporate office? It makes me feel like I am in some kind of jail! I have never heard of a job telling their employees that it’s mandatory that they are available. In past jobs the most they could do was just cut your hours but not target!

No it's not just your store and don't even waist your time talking to corporate because they are not going to a damn thing. I had the same issue. I reported my store and corporate did a piss poor investigation and basically told me I need to be available to meet the store needs. I laughed when they told me that and said " How are you going tell me what my availability is? It's mine! My time doesn't revolve around this store. I'm part time I'm flexible and make my schedule according to what I can work. Long story short get the HELL OUT and find another job!!!!
Yea I thought that this was complete bullshit when I heard it! I'm like are u fuckin serious!! I put in an availability request for my new school schedule and it was denied! How In the hell can u tell me when I need to go to school! It's like if I can't change my availability based on what I have going on in my life then what's the fuckin point in even having that option available in the first place it defeats the damn purpose!
When I would fill out comment cards I would see changes. Fill one (or a hundred) out and mail them from your house. The postage is pre-paid. Just make sure to include your store number in the actual comment or on the side where it asks you to provide voluntary information.
My store didn't even let me take the best team survey. Talked with other team members who also ones who have poor outlook on the way thing s are run, and they didn't take it either. There has to be a way for them to get in trouble for that
