Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

Annoying old lady cashier in Lemon Grove Target

Every time I shop at target I always try to avoid going through certain cashiers lanes. There’s this older last that annoys the hell out of me and even if I try to avoid her I can still hear her and her annoying laugh. She ALWAYS talks about her grand kids same fucking story over and over again. Then she offers the damn red card thing and that is annoying too. All the cashiers sound like they’re programmed to offer that damn thing, I bet 98% of the customers feel the same way I do about that harassment we get EVERY TIME we shop there.

Can we just please shop in peace? Now that would be great customer service!

Ok so I understand about the annoying stories from the old lady. But unfortunately we have no choice but to ask for " the red cards" or we don't get hours or get coached and let go.

All we can do is ask we can't force anyone to apply, no one wants to pay the high interest rates of the target credit card. It's annoying having to ask ever guest if they are interested in getting one. Half the time they don't let you finish the damn sentence cause they're tired of employees asking them ever damn time.

We cashiers are forced to ask you for a red card. I just spoke to my HRTL and said many guests are upset and have been demanding that we stop asking the question of the red cards or they will stop coming to Target altogether. She said oh that's bad, it's great that you're asking, but I didn't know it was that bad for our guests. But our corporate executives want to keep it as a business plan as it has gained our business a lot of value. So, even though you hate it I am enforced to ask it or keep getting talked to about you didn't ask, you are a bad employee. I don't want to be a bad employee, so I must do what I am told to do.

You're just being an asshole. ITS OUR JOB to ask you about the REDcards! Do you think we want to waste our breath reciting a speech for you to say "No thanks!" Because your credit sucks! You can comment about us once you start working in target or any retail for that matter.

in interchange rates yes but they sold the portfolio to td so now instead of making money off of other merchant processing the target credit card, td is. And rbc in Canada. target is stupid. should have signed an exclusivity deal with amex, visa or MasterCard.

I agree- and I'm an employee! Well, I quit yesterday, but still. We HATE having to ask people that shit 1000 times a day.
